Hearthstone Now Available on Android Tablets (AU/CAN/NZ )

I'm reading reports that it demands screen sizes that are at least 6", even if you manage to install it. Wonder if it's possible to spoof screen size via DPI?

From a Reddit post:

If you have xposed installed, you can use the App Settings module to change the dpi to get past the "CLOSED - Sorry, Hearthstone currently only runs on Android tablets 6in or larger" screen. Make sure to have xlarge res checked. The app crashes when I try to sign in though

Maybe that'll help?

I got it ready to go but I have a phone :( I cannot even find how to root my S4 4.4.2 the easy way, in order to spoof my screen size, as the one program I've tried says my phone isn't supported.

Everything you "own" (cards, decks, etc.) is stored server-side, no transfer needed. You log in with your usual Blizzard ID and it's all there.
Cool. I play quite a bit of the PC version but I'm not a fan of actually playing it on the PC strangely enough. So I'm really looking forward to this release for the most part.

Can anyone who has the game running tell me how much total space it takes?

I tried side loading it on my kindle with about 1.1 GB of free space. After copying the OBB files I was down to 500-600. I was able to get into the game and it was "Unpacking crates". It got about 3/4 through this and my device finally ran out of space. Not sure what else to do.

1.5GB total and here's the breakdown

Woot, got it working on my Note 3 (Canada). Little framey at times but totally playable.

Just went by the Reddit thread with sideloading the APK and tossing the obb's in a folder, then using Xposed App Settings module to fake Hearthstone into being over 6".

seems like if your device is over 6 inches then it will run the game
does this game have any single player? or it's all pvp?

Not available in the US....come on son. Otherwise my Nexus 10 is ready. I've wanted to get into this but didn't really feel like playing it on my desktop.

Same here. Loved beta and said "Cant wait to play this in the airplane".

It's been a long wait... Haha

uah :( got my old android tablet out and ran into a space issue.

the internal storage is partitioned into system: 1 gb and data: 4,7 gb (labeled as sd card).
the initial download of the game data after launching for the first time seems to go the "system" partition and requires more than the available 800mb free space .
is there any way to get it installed/downloaded directly to "data"? or can i resize both partitions?

It says it might experience graphical issues with PowerVR 544 gpus... I think that's mine.

If this doesn't work I might cry. Damn.

The Play store link tells me that it is not compatible with my devices.
Nothing about the language/region, just the devices.

Weird enough, the description, the screenshots and everything else are already shown in german ... so it can't be too far off.

Regarding the APK-file ... i read on android police that the apk can be installed, but the app won't download the required files, which basically means that the apk-installation is not working.

Or has there been a workaround?

Managed to get it installed on my rooted HTC One M8 but I get an error message when trying to log in. The tutorial works fine but trying to log in just gives me

Breaking news:

And touch to retry, will try it on my home wifi but would of liked to of been able to play it over 4G so hopefully it's fixable

Stuck at the title screen with the main theme playing, no menus in sight no matter how long I wait. Europe sideloaded on Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.

It seems it's best to just wait until they release it worldwide.

Just a little bit more.

I bet is just not going to run on my tablet. Waiting for disappointment.

The playstore says my 7' Archos Gamepad 2 isn't compatible... when I largely have the specs necessary and the right screen size too.

Well, APK hunting time I guess...

edit: nvm, I didn't properly look at the regions...

Got it running on my (European) Nexus 9, some slowdown the first time opening/accessing stuff but after that everything runs smoothly.

Pooping will never be the same again!

I can't wait for this to come to NA. I bring a 2013 Nexus 7 tablet to work with me and Hearthstone would be perfect.

I gave my grandmother my iPad Air a little while ago so that she could use facetime with my family and haven't been able to check the game out other than what I was able to play on PC before I unhooked mine.

Side loaded and did what reddit told me to do but it seems it's stuck at the initial logo screen.

No Hearthstone for me I guess.

EDIT: It was just loading. It seems like it's choppy as hell. Bummer.

EDIT2: Doesn't even have graphical options. Let me disable the fancy effects Blizzard! Also can't log in with my EU account.

Would be glad to hear if anyone gets this running on a rooted Samsung Galaxy s5 and shares their game experience!

Runs pretty well on my Note 3. S5 has better cpu but less ram so not sure how comparable that is =\ Can't imagine it's awful though. However I did read on folks having trouble with Lollipop rather than Kitkat so there's another possible hitch.

but also this lol

Got around that with root using Framework module App Settings to make Hearthstone fake tablet size for it to work.

to answer myself :D :
- the data is not on system but on data

to solve the space issue:
- install the apk
- create a directory link with foldermount on the data\data\ "blizzard tcg" to somewhere else (eg. sd card)
- manually move the lib files inside the folder to that folder
- start hs ...

nevertheless all shenanigens were for nothing - the game runs with 1 fps ... i cant even attack with all minions in a turn
