The issue I have with Mac is challenging his super armour. Mac is extremely safe and a decent mac will dash away any hopes of punishing. Most are willing to take a smack for a free forward smash, good luck getting In to force it as tilt will space you. It takes an annoying amount of patience to fight a Mac

Against anyone who isn't Ganondorf Mac can attempt to edgeguard and do super well.

Unfortunately for me and Ganon Jorge knows to not even bother to edgeguard in fear of getting face-planted.

-----------------

Ganondorf does have a split frame of Superarmor on his dash attack. Just like Charizard has a split seconf of super armor on his Fsmash.

Well against your Little Mac it's one of my few safe moves. And I still lost. Because he is just too fast for me.

And I can never escape that Throw to Sky Uppercut combo. Air Dodge just won't come out fast enough.

DI upwards immediately
Yeah I'm not sure how it works 100% either, but sometimes you appear 90 degrees on top of me and that's when it works. But it doesn't always work, probably because people DI and they don't go straight up, and if I do up b I will get punished, so I try to do it once I think it's safe and see you right on top of me. Can still be risky tho, it's never guarantee unless there's no DI

I enjoy killing that way tho. Kinda funny how Mac has no air game but can kill in the air, I love the irony

I also try to use his counter as a recovery, also risky

Well off the ground it's still a good attack. In the air it's pretty meh.

I find projectiles to be the best way to go against Mac, that plus constant jumping, and any move that has a lot of spacing, as well as grabs and connecting with hits in the air.

FAQ:
What if my opponent and I are having trouble making our match happen within the one-week period?
You have a two-week grade period to play each match, but do your best to play your match within the one-week period provided. If you do not play a match one week, you must play two the next to catch up.

What should I do if I know I cannot play a match within the given time period?
Please notify me and forfeit your match respectfully.

Why is <Insert Rule> the case instead of <Insert Other Rule>?
Everything exists as it does because I feel it is a good policy. Nothing is cut into diamond, however, and if the majority player base feels a policy change is needed, I fully welcome discussion on the issue.

Can I join late?
Unless someone drops out mid-season, you will have to wait until the next season begins. There is no player cap, however, so you will be welcome to join when the next season begins.

Can I play ahead, or even finish my entire season right away?
Sure, go for it! I encourage this, actually.

Should I wire my connection?
Hell yes you should!

Only thing that counts as armor for Bowser is disjointed hitboxes and Shellguard on his Upsmash.
Armor, disjointed hitboxes, and shellguard are all very different things.

Armor = you still get hit and take damage, but you don't flinch.
Disjointed hitbox = hitbox is significantly bigger than hurtbox.
Shellguard = attack nullification.

Dk have anything similar?
Not to my knowledge.

I had submitted my email, but I'm not sure I got an invitation.
Check the brackets in the link!

The brackets are temporary.

GGs, Puruzi! Had a lot of fun. Laughed at some of those kills that happened, haha. I need to play more random matches like that. Also, who's your main?

Ah, woops! Missed the header that it was a rough draft. Looking forward to it going up. I assume, like it was said before, multiple matches with different opponents can be done during a same week.

All I see is that Bracket 5 has 5 people instead of the 10 that the other groups do, but I suppose that's a limitation based on the min./max. number of people assigned in a group.

Just played online against a Link that was so good I had to quit. It was frustrating the hell out of me. I could barely land a hit on him. He was constantly throwing out boomerang + bomb + arrows so that I couldn't even approach him. He deflected all my projectiles with his boomerang and perfect timing, and he knew exactly how to counter everything.

WTF do you do against characters like that

Powershield or die. Make him approach. I find if you annoy a Link and get the idea that their projectiles won't work that they will change their range. Or get greedy and try and stab you.

Since you probably aren't Bowser I suspect toasting him in the oven isn't an option for you.

Who do you guys think is better? Dk or bowser?

Bowser the Best.

Yep, really fun matches. I'd like to say I main Ness. But I don't actually main anyone, I pretty much use the whole cast.
I use Ness, Peach, Luigi, and Robin the most though. I assume Falco and Falcon are your mains?

For what it's worth, I've side smashed with Bowser into Shulk's counter multiple times and not gotten punished, so Bowser has some sort of protection on side smash.

Sonic and Falco, but trying to learn Shulk as well. I don't think Falco is as bad as people make him out to be.

I'm not putting the official bracket/post up until Friday, so we have time for more people to join. I assume we'll get at least 5 more before the week is over, since we're at 45 right now. You are in Bracket 2 with me.

Challenging Bowser's jabs with other jabs is usually not smart.

The other day me and Jorge were jab challenging with Bowser and Rob.

Kinda epic.
Bowser is so bad in clanking situations. :-(

Who do you guys think is better? Dk or bowser?
No clue. Bowser won a small tournament, but someone beat M2K's Diddy Kong with DK. Both look solid right now.

Some people say his fsmash has armor at the very, very end of the move, but I've never experienced it in ~2000 Bowser matches. Either way, it's not the kind of thing that's actually useful. I've gotten my ass kicked by plenty of counters to know. :-P

Good advice, thanks.

Also, it's not specified, but I'm assuming that the winner of a match can't switch characters during the FT5?

Character switches are allowed at any time.

I see, got it.

Link players: wavelanding your side B is sickeningly good. I messed with it last night and just couldn't believe the leverage it provides.

My new favourite thing in For Glory is killing people with Yoshi's Standard B. I think it's actually super easy to escape from the egg, but nobody expects that move to be used so it kills a lot!

I wish I had a way to record my replays. Some of my latest egg kills have been great haha. I feel like such a troll when doing that.

He's clearly not, your falco is great. And I'm just bad against sonic, hate that character so much. :(

Yoshi's egg and Sonic's spins are so confusing for me. I feel like I should be able to punish them easily, but I just block for a while before getting hit like an idiot.

Bowser has no Armor on Dropkick. His waist to his legs is completely intangible once the move activates until he hits the ground. So making use of it is really tight.

And Bowser tends to stick his nose out for a lot of attacks which is vulnerable.

You're thinking about the Egg Roll. I meant the attack where you eat the opponent and turn him into an egg. I've been using it near the ledge and/or in the air to kill people (that is, turn them into an egg and watch them fall haha).

I don't understand the Egg Roll either haha. I don't use it much. It's very easy to punish.

How do you punish it? :-P

I think the trick is that when they do the roll attack against your shield you go grab them immediately. That supposedly gets them but I can't seem to get an opp to do that.
