Anyone up for a 1V1 fight ? I got my ethernet adapter

Can I buy all trophies from the shop or are there any only unlockable through certain tasks?
except the Solo mission and allstar character trophies, I mean.

The playablescharacters' alt trophy will be available in the shop only if you have complete the classic mode with them.

Do any Ness players have serious trouble against Robin? I'm a pretty bad player but holy crap, I get spanked harder in For Glory by Robin's than other character. One guy just decimated me and didn't even look like he was trying that hard. Feels bad man.

I thought Lucario was good Day 1 but then i realized that he has no neutral game at all. The only way Lucario is ever going to hit you is if you let him. All of his moves are telegraphed as fuck. The only reason Sonic got hit cause he was doing some risky offstage strats that are clearly ineffective.
People should realize that Lucario's buttons and footsies are shit. He's so free UNTIL he's at 100%.

Playing Luke is far from easy.

Having major trouble settling on a main. Instead I just play a little bit of everyone, and never really learning anyone :/

So far I'm leaning towards the Villager, but he has such terrible smash attacks

I might have to stop playing this game. It's far too demoralizing constantly losing to a series of players everybody complains about being awful.

When tournament mode is implemented we can easily set up some For Fun matches for those who would rather "party" play.

The other day I was about to swear off Smash 4 forever, I even took out the disc and put Mario Kart 8 in, but recently after visiting Smashboards and watching a few videos for the characters, I've been having a bit more fun online. For Glory isn''t really a great mode for getting better I find. It's OK, but people tend to play in the same way, pick similar characters and you don't really get much experience. You end up just fighting techniques rather than the player. Hit me up with a PM if you want to add me as a fellow Smash noob friend. I can't guarantee a brilliant lagless connection though.

Is there any unofficial tier list posted somewhere? Usually play with samus, wanna know where she is "ranked".
She's right at the bottom of most unofficial tier lists, tbh it's way too early for tiers anyway plus majority of people don't know how to use her properly so they think she's bad. Just keep using her if you like her.

After seeing how Megaman looks in SSB and with the rest of his team in the form of (assist) trophies i would totally kill for a eshop classic Mega Man reboot. They are so beautiful... But Capcom doesn't love Cancel Man :(

Tier lists at the moment are bogus

Players need to put the time on cuz I am seeing a lot of potential in characters that people are ignoring

I hate to be that guy but I think pro Melee players are glossing over some of the new aspects of this game and not experimenting

MySmashCorner made a video on Perfect Pivoting and its applications. This was found pretty early on the 3DS (I think day one actually), but I don't think it got much use because of the stick/controls. He explains it pretty well in the video and it's not that hard to do either. It's basically a very quick turnaround from a dash and a useful tool for spacing yourself. Your character is kept in a neutral state during the pivot as well, so you can attack right out of it.

... Is there match making in For Glory. I've only ever played five matches, got completely bodied and never tried it again. I don't think the game knows, I suck, and puts me against other players who don.t

Cool thanks.

Anyone want to play? Romancedawn

I just had a great set of matches against a Luigi player on For Glory. We pretty much went 4-4 with our mains, then we started using other characters in a more fun battle.

I'm really starting to appreciate how heavy Smash 4 is on footsies, it actually reminds me a lot of SF4. Playing against any good player made me realize this because it really felt whoever spaced the best in the match wins. Yomi in this game feels much more important.

And I'm having loooooads of fun with Wario once I realized this. He has so much options in the neutral game.

Zero actual matchmaking. It pairs you up with anyone who is online at the time. Doesn't account for your win rate.

good video, that's a pretty good explanation for Perfect Pivoting

SMASHGAF RANBATS – SEASON ONE
Hey thanks for doing this Karst! Hope it's not too stressful.

Is Smash 4 better than Melee? Is it even better than Brawl?
1: Debateable. 2: Yes.

Ah thanks! Maybe after I get comfy with bowser I'll add dk to my roster. The big guys are pretty fun.
I like Charizard quite a bit.

Played Captain Falcon after a while of nothing but Bowser and Mega Man.

Hehehehe yeah. More manageable than Sonic though.

Lucario bair kills at 51% eh?

Who are the players you are losing to? Perhaps I could be of some assistance as I'm not very good. NNID: InvincibleAgent

Yes please. I want some matches with items where we throw Lip's Stick at each other and taunt a bunch.

Looks like Miiverse user rabbidmaster finally got banned for all the risque pics of ZSS's butt:

I'm really finding that I'm terrible at this game right now. I was so used to Brawl that every time I pick up Ike I find myself trying to do so many of the things I did in Brawl only to find they don't work quite the same way anymore. It's so difficult to break those habits.

Super difficult I know. With DK an easy double back air was his best anything now the window is much harder and it used to get me killed all the time. It took me a while but I adjusted. You will too. Characters change and we gotta change with em.

I've seen a few Ike players make me question my existence. You'll get there!

If I can get 3 more people for the ranbats, I think I will close registration. 50 people, 10 people per bracket, 5 brackets, 9 weeks of matches.
