Well, I'll be hunting Rosalina and Lucario on launch I guess. Disappointing if I don't get them but oh well. I want them but screw the mania.

If anyone can pick me up marth and. Iagwr I would love you no reselling those boxes would be ripped right off! I'm working j would go.

Please guys :D

Just went and grabbed Zelda and Diddy from BB. I already got them from other retailers but whatever I can always take them back or trade them. Not surprising they had my Zelda pick-up sticker on a Link figure. They had other Zeldas on the shelf to replace it.

I am actually surprised at how little BB carries compared to TRU. They already have pegs for Falcon and Luigi but have them street dated for 12/30. The girl there said they didnt know what was up with the street dates moving. They have had the first 3 since at least Wednesday last week.

FWIW: Asked a buddy - who happens to be a GameStop store manager - about Pit and Captain Falcon stock. He says they have been told by the end of the week but that isn't 100% yet.
Villager is pretty cheap on Amazon right now since he's actually being sold by Amazon so I went ahead and got him.
Shows $39.99 for me right now on Amazon.

I still believe the four exclusive figures (Lucario, Meta Knight, Rosalina and Shulk) will be more common than we think. especially Rosalina since she's one of the most popular Nintendo character right now.

With rumors of Samus/Fox/Donkey Kong being discontinued soon and by having Marth/Wii Fit Trainer/Villager already discontinued (I'm guessing Diddy Kong and Little Mac are on the way to be discontinued too), that would mean that only stores will be full of :

- Mario
- Peach
- Yoshi
- Link
- Pikachu
- Kirby (in NA at least, seems rare in Europe)
- Zelda
- Luigi

...and that's it!

It just doesn't make any sense to me. There are so many fans of other Super Smash Bros characters. People will lose interest in Amiibo if they just keep seeing Mario or Link on the shelves. They need to have more common ones, just like Skylanders and Disney Infinity.
(

Honestly, that sounds about right to me. There's a reason they are being released in waves. You just cant have 50+ different types of figures sitting on store shelves, they need to clear some out to make way for the next wave. As they asses stronger demand for certain figures, they can start to allocate space to those specifically.

Can't preorder some characters anymore. Better to see what you're buying in person to avoid defects and package damage.

One advantage is that you get to see the amiibo before you buy it. That way you can get a good paint job (hopefully) and not have to deal with returns.

The big one though is that I think a lot of us severely underestimated the demand for these things. It is too late to preorder Wave 2 Amiibos like Pit or Captain Falcon, so we are stuck going to stores to find them. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people have caught on to preordering for Wave 3 though after this mess.

Probably , because you can't preorder the ones that should be out by now and even preordering, is no guarantee you'll get them.

There are supply issues with this figures, so is not as easy as just preordering or doing in-store pick up.

The only way would've been preordering months ago (and still, some didn't get ones like Marth), when there weren't any details of what they did, neither the supply issues were expected this way.

Then there's the quality as some are not well painted or have bent swords..stuff.

Some people have had their pre-orders cancelled on them due to retailers over-selling their pre-order stock or just not receiving their pre-order stock allocations at all. Some people have also had their amiibos packaged horribly (I fall into this category) and had their amiibos arrive damaged, so now they're looking for replacements.

Also, looking at amiibos in store affords you the opportunity and ability to look at multiple amiibo (depending on stock levels) to find the ones with the least amount of flaws.

Ok thanks guys. This whole amiibo thing really sucks. It pains me to see so many people go to tons of stores and not get what they want since they weren't able to pre order in time.

you guys in America having trouble finding certain amiibos, I suggest you keep an eye on international amazon and ebay sites.

I am seeing a villager on german ebay for 25 euros (31 bucks), it's x2 the retail price but if you are sick of waiting, then I'd go for it.

of course, as a collector you will probably not want to mix european with american amiibos but it's an option at least.

What a mess. Getting concerned about my BB preorders.

That avatar though

Yeah, he definitely doesn't hide what he's all about, but if I was Target I'd be kind of pissed that someone like him was trying to attach their shady practices to my business.

I can't say that I would find that surprising.

What would be hilarious is if Target cancels preorders on people that ordered too many, it wouldn't be the first time a company did this. He would be royally screwed especially if he spent any of the money they sent him.

Why are there people buying these Rosalina pre-orders on ebay for such high prices? We have to be strong, stand together, and only then can we put scalpers in there rightful place.

Just always troubles me when people sell stuff on eBay that they personally do not even have in possession.

TRU still hasn't responded to my pissed off email about getting Donkey instead of Diddy. Great CSR.

You may have seen my prior post, but Amazon sent me Link instead of Marth. Not much they could do to give me Marth, but I was refunded the amount of the transaction and I was told I could keep Link.

I can't imagine how someone could have put a Zelda sticker on the Link figure. The actual packaging has the name of the figure in giant letters across the back, and each item is individually named via their UPC.

They'd have to have done it on purpose, playing off the "what if Zelda was a girl" joke or something along those lines. People who are actually ignorant enough to not realize the difference would still have to go out of their way to ignore the packaging and product code.

So I think Amazon is getting more WFT on the 20th. It shows me the notification but then when I try to add it to cart it doesn't do it. Then when I go back the notification isn't their.

Does anyone know if the Nintendo World Store is exempt from not being allowed to sell the exclusive Amiibos? IE, they'll get and sell Lucario, Metaknight, Rosalina, and Shulk?

Here's an distasteful but somewhat reasonable idea:

Sell the figures for $13 in stores and keep your rotating cast. But once a figure is pulled from retail, sell it exclusively through Nintendo for $20 a pop. That way Nintendo maintains the artificial scarcity of "limited time offer" and manage to hamstring the scalpers.

Over 300 Diddy figures on eBay, I'm just going to go that route and give up until someone like Ness.

I really just wanted a handful anyways. Got fox and DK, need Diddy.

Nintendo really doesn't take advantage of their own online store much. Horrible job actually.

My Pit and Captain Falcon Amiibo have been dispatched. I hope they arrive with not issues and look good. Fucking local area making it hard to see amiibo in store. Don't even know if GAME have lowered the price in store again and Tesco/ASDA/Argos would all require me to put in a click and collect style thing to get them delivered in store and even then I'd be stuck with what they give me. I just need to pray to the amiibo god for safe packing.

Or maybe, people really still think that Link is Zelda.

Did you try your local Toys R Us? I found 2 Diddy's at mine when every other store like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy didn't get him.

I'd rather that happen than have a bunch of jerks with piles of amiibos charging $50+ per pop.

My BestBuy Dewitt,NY were filling in Preorders first. The customer service rep told me they were in back and scared of putting them on the shelf selling someones preorder. The Diddy Kong they gave to me, all Best Buys are cleared to sell Zelda and Diddy which are dated for this Sunday. No sign of Lil Mac and no sign of Luigi .

Got my Pit and Zelda amiibo from the NUK web store today. I was out so the postman kindly left the box out in the rain. SMH. Luckily the figures themselves are all intact.

I don't understand how someone can sell a pre-order for Rosalina on eBay.

I pre-ordered Little Mac from Best Buy WAY before any hype about these things started and I still haven't heard bunk from them about it.

And these people are trying to sell that uncertainty?

It's only $10 so returning it is not worth it but I am annoyed. I'll probably resell it for retail to make back some money.

I just hope that the two other Little Macs that Target had went to another GAFer. I won't scalp these, as I would not think too kindly on others who would go that route and leave other people high and dry!

Shulk amiibo is sold-out on EB Games Canada ;.;

I hope I will be able to purchase some on release day :(

Or you could have bought them and sold them through the B/S/T thread on here for face value + shipping. Do some people a favor.

Put up the rare amiibos on Club Nintendo at least. Like...reward your loyal fans or something.

Nooooo, no, no, no... I've had enough of that 'screwing over the loyal by way of Club Nintendo' garbage. They should just put them on store.nintendo.com.

NOA twitter account posted that starting tomorrow you can get two amiibos for $22...at least is something?

...but when there are no Amiibo to be had, then, what deal is there?
