I would guess wave 4 will be another smaller wave like 2 and then the 5th will be the final big wave. That is assuming every character will be made, of course.

Apparently TRU managers received a regional memo from corporate reading that "no TRU members should abuse their powers to middleman rare toys between the retail and public, especially during the holiday season."
This was from the one manager claiming he had "angels and racers" in his store Wed morning. If the memo turns out to be true, it could add validity to his story.

Went into Game yesterday. They had Captain Falcon and Diddy. Didn't buy. Went back today to buy one of them, both gone. But they had 4 Marths. What the hell. Where did they come from? I bought one.

I plead to everyone here, when stating you walked in and found a Captain Falcon, Pit, or whatever Amiibo (especially the ones that haven't been released yet or are rare) PLEEEAAAASE state where you are in the world.
Does not have to be specific cities or whatever, simply Europe, New Zealand, Canada, etc. will do.

Doesn't it really vary by retailer and location? Last Friday, it seemed like only TRU put Little Mac out. Target did not.
However, the Target by me had Little Mac and TRU did not.
So has anybody had wave 2.2 items shipped from Gamestop? I pre-ordered Pit quite some time ago and it's been sitting on open for awhile. I realize he's not really out in the wild but it seems like there may be some movement. I'm specifically curious if Luigi has shipped yet to get a timeframe on how long it might take.
Oh, and just received notification that Little Mac from the Toys R Us eBay site was delivered, ordered that on 12/10. Not bad.

I can only guess, but I suspect of the 2, Captain Falcon will be harder to find. The way things are now, though, I think they will both be pretty hard to come by if you aren't being vigilant.
They're identical (at least the ones that we've seen thus far) and are region free.

I've seen FYE and Fred Meyer mentioned in the thread. I haven't even considered those. We don't have those exact stores here, but do have Suncoast (FYE) and Baker's (apparently has something to do with Fred Meyer).

Micromania had some amiibos, including the new wave (Luigi, Zelda and Diddy Kong - didn't see Captain Falcon though), but only one Marth remaining (and his sword was all twisted). No Fox there, I had to buy it elsewhere. Also, it seems that Kirby is very rare.

I bought the majority of my commons at FYE two days ago due to my discount. They had not received ANY wave 2's at that point, A or B. I haven't checked back but they said they didn't know when they were going to come. They are priced at 12.99 just like everywhere else except TRU. This is in Gaithersburg, MD.
Luigi being delayed until then is weird, since stores are definitely getting him in now. I would strongly advise you to check into your local Best Buy tomorrow to see if he got put out with the rest of wave 2A.
EDIT: I just checked, and Luigi is definitely hard street dated for 12/30 at Best Buy.
I'd be dead by sleep deprivation if I kept playing the Target refresh game.

So are Lucario Pre-Order cards out there at most Toys R Us now? The nearest one to me is two towns over, so I don't want to make the trip for nothing. Also trying to get a Luigi, but it seems he's fairly common.

Pit should be harder, someone made a good point that Cpt Falcon is a Mario Kart 8 Amiibo as well, so more should be available while Pit will only work for Smash for now

Oh yeah, didn't think of that. Either way, I want them both, so hopefully they won't be too rare (thought at my local Target I didn't have any trouble getting Little Mac and Diddy Kong last Friday).

Diddy, Pit and Luigi. My Diddy has pretty good eyes, one slightly off centre, but not noticeable unless you look really closely.
I've not done too bad in terms of errors on my amiibos so far, my Marth has a perfectly straight sword and decent eyes, no major errors and decent paint jobs on the rest. Still have a Zelda on the way from Shop2, so we'll see if that shows up horribly shattered or something.

Once thing I can't vouch for is there packing methods, so maybe keep that in mind.
