Well a large box is better than a damaged amiibo. I was a little surprised when I saw it.
By the way, has anyone ordered amiibo off of Target.com? I have Little Mac, Falcon and Pit there but Mac and Pit are still processing and due for arrival tomorrow. I'm starting to get a little worried since I've had them ordered since November.

Did you get a shipping notification? If you didn't, take that estimated delivery date with a grain of salt. Nothing from 2nd wave on target.com has shipped.
I just got out of a long online chat with a rep. Everything is backordered and he had no info on when to expect shipment. My order status still says order created and that is it.

That's slightly relieving. My order has been on processing for a minute so I was getting antsy. These things are borderline stress inducing. I hope Wave 3 and 4 are easier on everyone.

Yeah I feel really bad for everyone outside Europe. Some figures are rarer than others here (Kirby, Wii Fit Trainer and Villager are rare sightings) but they can still be obtained if you import them from another country's amazon store. And stores do seem to get new shipments in from time to time so if you time it right it's still possible to get the rare amiibo from retail stores.
I hope that the US shortages are tied to the port strikes and that stores will be resupplied soon and scalpers will give up. Amiibo collecting should be fun activity/hobby, and not frustrating. The stories I'm reading here about people refreshing Target in the middle of the night just so they won't miss out on Rosalina sound like absolute madness. Also read some tweets from friends in the US who stopped buying amiibo because it's too much effort already to get them all. That just makes me sad
On the other hand, it's very heartwarming to see that lots of Gaffers here and willing to help each other out! If it would help anyone I'd buy the last Marth here and ship it to them but unfortunately euro > dollar price and outrageous shipping costs to the US would make it far too expensive to be of any benefit to anyone
Yeah man and we appreciate it. We're all just trying to get what we want. That's why I even started coming here and helping. I started collecting these about a week ago now (missing out on Wave 1 release completely) and just...it was all started because a Best Buy employee took a little mac out of my hand on the 14th. I was there to pick up something else and saw Little Mac on the shelf. Just one. I had no idea he was rare or not released or ANYTHING about Amiibos or their scarcity yet. All I saw was there was a character I really liked and was like "Yeah that'll look good next to my PC!"
I get to the counter and the guy claims he can't sell it to me, takes it from my hands and puts it behind the counter. I'm just flabberghasted. Then I start looking around and learning about the situation with Marth (the other character I really wanted). I just got more and more frustrated until I came here to try to help. I needed an outlet. No one needs this kind of shit for some friggen toys.
I wish I could give you a kirby too. We have them literally laying around like no one wants them here in Maryland. I went to a Target a few days ago and there was a Kirby just chilling by the shopping carts at the front of the store. Just having a snooze.

I looked in Ann Arbor and Clawson, Michigan today and saw pretty much the same as well. (My commute to work)
I might check later on today again just in case the Pits and Falcons drop.

I'm at my parents' in France over Christmas. They picked me up from the airport today, and we stopped off in a retail park to eat; they had a Toys R Us, so I had a quick look in, and they had Wave 2 stuff on shelves there, a day early. Got all bar Mac from Wave 2, plus quite a few from Wave 1.
Looks like AmiAmi got a hold of it. They stuff giant boxes full of packing paper for pillows.

@Christopher: Dude I dont want to get your hopium going too much (They might fuck me) but the TRU about 30 mins away from my house has the cards according to the dude on the phone. He has claimed he'll hold two for me. Cross your fingers. I leave work in about 10 mins and then its an hour commute home from DC.
