Edit: I even posted in here on Friday when I found LM at TRU and passed it up. I'd generally not care, but the fact that it's at other stores is what irritates me.

Charleston SC. It is very hit or miss. I wish it wasnt the crazy holiday season and we could ail to each other easily. My post office is constantly crushed, even the automated part. After XMas I may get rid of some doubles I have to Gaffers. It is just to much right now
 
Any Gamestops confirmed to have 2B in yet? I know they get shipments in around noon or so, so maybe some East Coasters have already checked?

Well keep me in mind, I would gladly pick up and mail ones I see to gaffers as well. Im in NJ
 
Is anyone actually paying the scalpers here...please tell me know one is. I'd rather order from overseas where it comes to 25.00 then to pay them.
 
Get on the phone if your order was cancelled from Best Buy.

The manager said that the item was placed on no pick, but since it doesn't come out til tomorrow the store manager closed the order.
They are calling the store to have them reinstate the order and are calling me back.

I haven't gotten a cancellation email yet, but if I do, shit's going to hit the fan.

Actually fuck it, I have to go up to that neck of the woods tonight anyways. I'll just go in and try to pick it up (even though the email said tomorrow). I'm done screwing around.

If I was taking them out of the package I would but I can't have different region packaging and say I have a complete set. I haven't bought from scalpers yet but if I can't end up trading a few of my doubles for figures I don't have them I may have to.

Thanks. I hadn't read that angle yet. From the start this thing has been pretty messed up. Some of the first wave didn't even show up at my local Walmart.

Target had Little Mac on display last Thursday night in my Metro Detroit area. When I took him to the checkout lane, the cashier said it was a DO NOT SELL UNTIL 12/12.

I was ready to throw down the bills, and run out the door! Ha, but I did go back the next morning and they still had stock thankfully.
 
Came up empty today. I did manage to get a Lucario card, but don't feel very confident in the whole process. I gave them $1 and they took down my email address and gave me a receipt. No phone number, no name, and they wouldn't let me pay for the any more than $1. Just feels weird and I don't feel like I've secured a Lucario.
 
So I picked up Super Mario Galaxy again last night after never finishing it.


Now I'm even more sad I missed out on preordering Rosalina... =(
 
There's a lot of intensity and frustration in this thread - and for good reason - but I'm wondering ~ is anybody else actually having fun searching for Amiibos? I haven't had this much fun "figure hunting" in a very long time.

Went to my GameStop right when shipment arrived. 12 boxes and the first box they opened was re-stock of Mario, Samus, Link and Peach. I left before they opened the others but I told them to call if they got any new ones.
 
so the canceled preorders were all for pick-up? seems fucked up they would do that. the policy is to hold them for you. those dumb fucks.

They tried to pull that street date shit on me Sunday when I went to get my Diddy and Zelda which I was emailed about; it said they'd be ready/available on 12/14. Their system was telling them they had a date of 12/17 and therefore was blocking them from processing the transaction. I basically wouldn't back down and they ultimately took down the order info to put through the pickup on the date their system said and let me take 'em home.

As frustrating as it is I have loved every bit of it ha. From hitting up different stores and finding rares to sweet talking disgruntled employees into checking the back and being rewarded with first dibs. Translating German Amazon and ordering rare Wave 1s. Me and a friend have went on some adventures that are probably more fun than entering them into the game ha.

Edit: Not to mention waking up to the Rosalina preorder and grabbing two made me feel quite lucky. It is the simple things in life.

Amazon.de and Amazon.co.uk were my only hope to get a few of this: Villager, Marth, Diddy and Pit.

Turned out both decided to ship today..and both declined the 2 credit cards (AMEX) I tried.

Might have to get used to the idea of not getting them. Expected since "AMEX gonna AMEX"... :p

Oh it's great! There is that sense of excitement that the store you are walking in might just have 1 left of whatever you are looking for. But then the doom and gloom when its just Mario, Pikachu, Kirby, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Peach..
 
Amazon is giving everyone in here such different results.

Order placed for wave 2 on Oct 15th. Diddy was delivered yesterday, Zelda delivered today and Little Mac arrives tomorrow.

Yeah...I mentioned this before...I can almost guarantee the screwed up shipments are entirely due to the port strikes. The scarcity of figures is all Nintendo...but its the strikes that are causing the weird inconsistency of when and where figures are coming into stores...

That's good to hear! With a few exceptions it seems like most everyone is pretty bummed out. The thrill of the chase has been really fun for the Mrs. and I. We'll usually go grab a few drinks and then hit up as many places as possible.
 
UK-GAF, has your wave 2 amiibo on amazon shipped yet? if so, when ordered?

got a little mac preorder a couple days ago, but dont want to skip it in a store tomorrow then find out amazon flaked :p

Yeah, it seems like the Marth/Villager/WFT amiibo will probably trickle in the next few months.
