yeah, that was kind of bad. not going to lie, wasn't super impressed for a SERIES, possible FRANCHISE ending
I have to rewatch it, but the as per usual I have some issues with the dialogue used. It MIGHT have been better if there was more of a implication that Korra wants to be more in-tuned with her spirituality by going to the spirit world instead of it being a vacation spot. It might impede the obliviousness of the Korrasami, but it would be a slightly better ending.

Edit:
Eh, I mostly agreed a lot of shit was forced. Moreover the Wu portions than anything else. The ending could've been better from my aforementioned change in dialogue and implications.

Finished watching. I thought it was very well done.

Pretty much everyone was doing something in the finale (Except Kya and Bumi whow ere strangely absent). Republic City as a battle ground was a lot of fun.

I liked where they went with the ending
New spirit portal, pretty neat. Sort of... magical, in a way. Korrasami being a thing is pretty weird though - they've been hinting at it for a while, I guess.

I do agree that as a franchise ender, I probably wanted something more. Wish there was a bigger scale season 5, but oh well.

I thought I might do some long analysis of the show, but I don't think I will. In the end, I enjoyed the show. There were weird decisions, missed opportunities and general clunkiness (Especially in season 2/finale of season 1). But... overall I think the show was pretty solid. Not what it could have been. But enjoyable all the same.

they just wanted a romantic getaway and what better place to be that the spirit world

more or less, S4 has no real reason for existing, it feels like filler before the end. At least we got relatively wise Korra.

Bummer that Nick sabotaged the whole thing and made them do four fully standalone seasons. I'd love a version of LoK in which the Red Lotus was the bad guy the whole time but each season would have it throw up a different big bad tied to the organization (it'd allow for lots more political intrigue business and a feeling of continuity, it'd be a great fix for Amon's backstory and motivations, and so on).
Well, maybe somewhere that isn't haunted by a horny old ghost who hasn't had human contact in like 50 years.
but enough about toph amirite

Mako taking out the mech's heart was my favorite part, really thought he was going to die judging by the way his hair was flying around haha. I loved it when Kuvira fired her cannon in a sweeping shot and you see it destroy shit in the background horizon.I though Korra was a goner when she took that shot to the face in avatar state and the green lights went up. Korra was a beast throughout. Good shit, not exactly what I was expecting, but I can live with it. I really did want Korra to brutalize Kuvira more, but ah well. Thanks Bryke.

TLA S2 > TLA S3 > Korra S3 > TLAS1 = Korra S4 > Korra S1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Korra S2

Eh I wouldnt say that. I thought it was a nice little arc. But the key word there is little. I enjoyed seeing Korra bounce back from the events of season 3, and I enjoyed seeing the consequences of the earth kingdom revolution actually play out. But it definitely was smaller scale. Thats ok, but its a weird way to end a show. That said, I did think the finale was sufficiently epic.

Kept expecting Mako to die or at least lose his arm during that electric scene. He's lucky to have Bolin as his brother.

Unfortunately, another cop-out. I guess I can't expect too much out of a kids show. But they could have done it. They would have gotten away with it too. It would have been easy. They set it up perfectly. Just like Tenzin in season 3.

For about half a second I thought his arm had burst off, but it was just his sleeve and would've been waaaaaaaaay to graphic lol. More graphic than literally getting crushed, I guess.

They should've just killed Mako. Korrasami might have made more sense then. But I guess that might have been a little cruel...

How would it make more sense? "Oh, our exboyfriend is deal, let's hook up!"? That seems pretty classless to me.

oh my word. That was amazing. Best finale in Avatar history, best individual episodes in the franchise.

I mean, I don't have a bad thing to say. I'm not going to call it perfect...but man. Man.

wonder how mako will react when korra and asami tell him the news. i bet he'll feel like shit, so bad a man he turned 2 ladies gay.

Oh you know. Someone who is courageous, strong, intelligent, who cares for her people (but only people like her), and willing to do whatever it takes to do what's right and establish order in a chaotic world. Everything Kuvira does, she does it for the greater good. Sacrifices, like her fiancé and Eskimo Jesus, are a harsh and consuming cost she's going to have to live with. But she carries the world, and the future of the world, on her shoulders, and her shoulders alone.

Who's crazy now, KorraGAF? WHO'S CRAZY NOW?
