I laugh at how we never got a conclusion to Opal/Bolin except that they dance at the wedding

Mako blowing up the heart was actually the only place I felt any tension
Lol they didn't even have a romantic plot though. They held hands, stared at each other. I dunno, is that balls? IS that worth people saying the ending was amazing?
Ya'll cray.
"That's it! Franchise over! Here's Korrasami you guys!"
Feels like Bryke stopped caring and just threw that in there to distract everyone lol
Yup. Last hurrah of things feeling Avatar-y.
Guess the heart of the mech was the heart of the series.
Hey, I didn't pitch the phrase "Good Hitler", you didJesus man, now you're going too far, don't you think? :\
What was so great about it? It had no plot. There was nothing said about the series as a whole. 90% of it was just a silly robot smashing shit, some beams blowing shit up. A quick battle that had mediocre fighting.
This was literally and ending about nothing.
Won't be hard, seeing as they were lazy and tacked on multiple scenes to try to mirror the two (except LOK was much worse, as there was no emotional impact to the scenes like they were in ATLA).
It's all about the implication. Plus it's better than Makorra ha.
How could they possibly end the terrible giant-robot-Kuvira-hitler plot in a good way? This was the best-case scenerio - ignoring it.
Look at that stare. It's all about the implication. Plus it's better than Makorra ha.

TAK, that plot was pure crap. She was way worse than Amon. I was laughing at how quick they went from Raging Psychopath that wants power, to trying to cram in a story/motivation and it being mother issues. Shit was so bad.
That was like the worst part of the entire finale. Sorry breh.

Wasn't the plot of TLA's finale pretty similar though?
Aside from the god-tier Azula scenes, of course.
Book 4 finale wishlist:
-Spirit vines take down Kuvira-bot
-Zhu Li and Varrick do the thing (if you know what I mean)
-Korra gets with no one
-Wu does not become king aka free elections
Are you really trying to compare Ozai to Kuvira in a condensed season?

What was Korra supposed to do? Kill her in cold blood? Kuvira was completely defeated by that point, it wasn't like Ozai in which not killing him meant death for Aang and the Earth Kingdom.BTW, family watched with me. They've seen some of the episodes I have. S1 and S3 finales.
Family conclusion: Korra is a weak as shit Avatar, and in the words of my mom in the audience, "she's kind of a pussy."

Yeah so you are talking about what, 4 seconds? There wasn't like an actual romantic plot itself. It was danced around the entire episode, then the last 4 seconds you got that. Again, I get that they might have got push back from the network. So I can understand.
But people are going to lose their shit over that, and say that makes the ending awesome?
Gah. I'm sorry. This ending was just mediocre through and through and had jack shit to say.
Don't know, but the ending was devoid of anything meaningful to say. I guess the finale was screwed from the get go, because the season was bad? Either way, doesn't make the ending not bad.
Wait, are there people thinking Korrasami redeemed an otherwise mediocre ending?
Yeah, I'm with Azula. It was probably a mistake to watch this in the middle of marathoning The Americans, but this was really low-impact. Mostly I was laughing at the show's attempts to make me feel something. Really clumsy stuff. And the fighting wasn't at all interesting.

The context is completely different. They just resolved a conflict that lasted 60 episodes or whatever. Ending on Aang and Katara kissing was justified because they got everything else out the way.
Korra sort of just...ends?
Nothing about Kuvira. 2 sentences about her "suffering". And then BAM KORRASAMI
Suppose people just weren't expecting them to going down that path with the ending or at least what it implied. I though it was sweet but the I probably got more joy at seeing Varrick and Zhu Li marry each other.
I don't the finale was that bad, I still found it pretty enjoyable as all the characters came together to try and take down the mech. Nowhere near as good as the Book 3 finale though but still decent and much better than the Book 2 finale or Book 1 also.
What was Korra supposed to do? Kill her in cold blood?
No, people who do not like the ending keep on implying that the only reason the people that liked it do so is because of the last scene.
Frankly, I find that insulting, but whatever.
