Great games, man! Your Shulk in particular is great. Let's play sometime soon, especially considering our connection was pretty rock solid.

GGs, and yeah we should play again some other time. Honestly Shulk surprised me with how well he did.

Also, those aura spheres getting reflected was totally intended...altho miscalculated. I wanted to try countering them >.>

Anyone want to give me a quick rundown on how to play Ness? I sense some promise but I can't quite get it to gel.

He's very good. His f-air can chain sequence people off of the stage from a d-throw. Good spacing game, b-throw can kill at decent %.

I can show you some of his gameplay online right now if you'd like.

How do you guys feel about mapping tilts to the right analogue?

I tried it out after watching the perfect pivot tutorial, but I'm not sure if the gain is worth giving up the dedicated smash attack for? It probably depends on what character you're playing the most?

Depends on the character.

Some characters have awful smashes or awful tilts and you want the better on demand, so you c-stick assign that move.

I'm gonna try that when I get back home.

Speaking of when I get back home. I finally have time to make a video on tech that might just put Sheik in the god tier category. It's not the kind of gimmick tech, either. It's annoying as hell to deal with.

And the game is still wank. Looking forward to Ranbats though!

Added everyone in my ranbat bracket. Be seeing some of you soon.

I'm starting to get a little concerned that I'm playing this game practically exclusively online. The lag really screws me up at times, I basically wait on the stage every time I send someone off because the chance of killing myself if I jump off is way too high. Certain characters like Ike or Fox... if I jump off, get hit and an air attack comes out afterwards (usually Fair), by the time the animation completes I'm fucked. SDs like this would never happen to me in local play. I'm not sure I even want to adapt to the lag, if I do I have the feeling my timing is going to be garbage if I ever play someone locally.

Well, in most cases you should never need smash attacks mapped, with tilts on the c stick you can do bairs and fairs without losing momentum. Not to mention the benefits of freeing up your stick for tilts

Five challenges to go:

7. Collect all of the special moves: Smooth Lander Brawn Badge equipment
10. Collect all of the custom headgear: Majora's Mask trophy
11. Clear All-Star on Hard with all characters: Saki Amamiya trophy
16. Collect 700 unique trophies: Item Hitter Agility Badge equipment
20. Collect all the CDs: Tac trophy

Any advice for farming special moves and headgear? Crazy Orders gives me nothing but repeats as far as headgear goes, and specials are luck of the draw.

Yo, Pikachu is actually really good. I just need to stop gettig frustrated an going for Smash kills. Anyone know any good kill setups?

Pikachu's up-smash is probably his most reliable kill move due to how quick it is; it has almost no start-up lag compared to his forward smash. Plus a clean uncharged hit can still kill a light character below 100%. If you see the opponent about to land on the stage, try to rush forward and upsmash while they're still in their landing animation.

Up-throw to down special when the opponent is at around 100% to 130% (depending on their weight) is good too, though better players who see it coming can SDI on the throw and drift to the left or right to avoid the thundercloud. Best to not try this too often against the same opponent, but at least it's not really punishable if they avoid the thundercloud.

Down air and neutral air are his best aerial killing moves, though I find it kind of hard to land the neutral air due to how close you have to get to land a clean hit

How far do you go when it comes to customizing Amiibos? Do you feed them equipment? I did it for my first three and I fear that they are too powerful. Luigi has like +104 attack.

Leave Smash Tour running while you are AFK. I get 2-4 specials per run.

I don't feed my amiibos. Even without equipment they do more dmg than normal characters
