Only if you live on the internet. Every that was shown about their 'relationship' showed them as being close(best) friends. Although I can totally see the ambiguity. But like I said. Mike and Bryan love Trolling shippers.

At this point Korrasami is no more official then Tokka or Zutara was.

If they wanted to be subtle they could've done a million things. This ending was not subtle. The conversation with Mako is basically putting their relationship behind them. And their private vacation immediately after is clear as day.

Okay, how do I put this, holding hands with somebody and doing the longing gaze like they did at the end is generally considered to be a romantic gesture. Also, as many people have noted they used the exact framing from Korra and Asami that they did for Katara and Aang. The clear implication is that they are in love with each other and not just trolling.

I have not yet read anyone else's reactions, so I have no idea how in line I am with anyone else, but to me that was fucking fantastic from start to finish. The fights (and the bending!) were great, the Korrasami bit was done as well as can be hoped (more on that below), they somehow managed to avoid making the giant mech more ridiculous in an attempt to upstage the Kaiji battle in s2, and it solidified ideas about what drove Kuvira that had been perhaps too vague to this point. This is easily the best Korra's been since Beginnings, and maybe the best it's ever been to me while I was watching it the first time.

As for the Korrasami bit this has all the makings of them pushing through a small piece of what they wanted because they got shut down by the network on doing it better, imo. Felt like Ivonava/Talia all over again, for anyone who's watched B5. And of course, for people who don't want it to be a romantic relationship it's still plenty open to take it that way too.

That one interpretation, the other is, shit just went down so let's get away for awhile.

I know women that go on vacation together, and some how end up not making out.

while holding hands and looking longingly at one another? in a scene which mirrors the explicit pairing of aang and katara?

ok

I actually loved the Kuvira had a bit more to fuel her motivations. I don't see the big deal. It SUCKS that this was revealed SO LATE and that there was barely anything in general. I would have liked it if we got a lot more backstory from her, and what she said about her not wanting to cast aside the earth kingdom like her parents casted aside her was just part of an overall motivation. That in it of itself though wasn't bad to me at all. I liked the comparison she made, and people are always so quick to jump to "oh mommy daddy issues" saying it in such a really dismissive manner.

Anyway, like I said, I like that as being part of her motivation, but I hate that it was introduced so late and that there was no more backstory shown on her. I didn't like how that was the ONLY thing that she had to her. (that they showed/written about)

Kuvira redeemed <3

But yeah, the SERIES finale was a letdown. If anything
i am super glad they dared to go for Korrasami. Lesbian power <3

Any takers on whether or not Bryke actually animated a kiss?

I am willing to bet good money that they did so as an act of rebellion, but did not have the balls to go through with it.

Man not to throw the baby out with the bath water but that finale/final season as a whole was really bad. I'd be really interested in hearing what the creators have to say about Korra as a whole once they get some distance from it. Looking back the season 3 finale would have worked beautifully as a series ender. Season 4 only seems to exist for the Korrasami/ Toph fan service.

personally I didn't want him to die, but that whole scene was set-up as a final sacrifice scene in TV writing 101, and then they chickened out. What a fucking rip off. That emotional music scene was for nothing.

Actually, I agree. S3 would've been better as a series ender far more so than this one but we wouldn't have had the awesome action that occurred in the episode.

yeah, for real. they threw him under the bus with regards to shipping anyway, he was basically reduced to a fake-out troll at the end there.

at least let him go out with dignity lol

One of my biggest problems with Season 4 is Mako had just about NOTHING going for him aside from being Prince Wu's straight man to comedy.

Can anyone tell me how to make a gif out of one of those videos please? I just want to gif an extremely brief scene I liked (that most people probably thought nothing of but I thought looked cool)

Oh wow.... just wow. They actually did it.XD Korrasami!<3

Well overall that was a sweet finale. Not TLA good, but for the most part I think it was a satisfying end to the series. There were some ends that I wish had a bit more screentime (like Jr, Kuvira and Beifong family), but I glad that pretty much all the main characters and some others got a bit of action, and man was Hiroshi's death sad and a bit brutal.:( Pretty much all the fight scenes were nicely done, something that was a bit lacking in the book. I like the scene with Korra and Kuvira in the spirit world, especially when Kuvira look like korra for a moment. Wish there was a bit more with Kuvira, Su, and Jr again through. I glad Book 4 ended nicely, but overall Book 3 was the best season all around.

The show definitely had flaws, its structure was bleh and it definitely doesn't stand as tall as TLA, but I shall miss it greatly. I definitely shall miss seeing this wonderful universe in animated form, but maybe someday. I will look forward to whatever Mike and Bryan will do next.

Korra as a series will always feel like a bittersweet waste of potential. Had nick ordered 4 seasons since the very beginning...Ugh.

3 would've been perfectly fine. If they had done one arc, with different villians for each season, would've been way better.

and stop introducing bullshit characters. kai, wu, su's entire family, airbending kids, aang's kids...keep it quality, not quantity.

Absolutely loved the ending. Pretty damn amazing. Will miss Korra.

Avatar the last Airbender had a better ending though. But this was definitely not too far behind.

If we're going only 13 episodes per season... Uh...4 pls F 3

I think she does have a good character arc tho. I feel like she's developed well, unlike most LOK characters. I still feel like Zuko's was better of course, but I don't have a problem with people liking Korra's character growth more.
