I support the idea of a "test match" where both players push some buttons to see how it feels, and then SD to begin the real matches. Maybe I should add that into the official rules?

Oh, I updated the rules to state that in-game mechanics pick the stage. I don't want everyone to get caught up in the hassle of having stage discussions between every single match.

Does anyone know if some of these challenges can be done in group smash?

For example, can the Duck Hunt All Star on hard challenge been done in co-op.

Most of them specify "Solo" - just checked the Duck Hunt one, that one definitely does. Some of them might not include Solo, but I haven't tried if they work in co-op or anything.
