Back on later tonight, off for dinner. Just message me if you see me online and I'll play you. I haven't messaged anyone whose profile shows they're in "local play," cause I don't want to bother people if they're playing other people locally... hmm as I write this out it occurs to me that local play doesn't necessarily mean people are having friends over. Well... next time.

For Glory or For Fun?

I've never seen coins at the battle results screen. Are you sure? I think you get coins for participating in the "Use these characters this week" type of matches, if you use a certain character.

The difficulty in single player is seriously making me not enjoy this game as much as I want to now. It's like I find classic mode in 9.0 seriously harder than level 9 on past smash games. I still haven't been able to complete classic mode on 9.0 with any character and because of that I just stick online. I don't know what it is. I think the fact that dying and seeing the difficulty get knocked back irks me so much.

Every time the difficulty notch goes down, a shoe should manifest from your TV and kick you.

The amiibos getting a power boost when they get high level really bums me out. They're actually really fun to train and fight, but once they start doing 45% on smash attacks it just gets stupid no matter how good they fight.

Especially with the fact that you can feed them equipment. That should be the option to make them nuts if you want to. It shouldn't just happen naturally.

Your ROB is definitely pretty great though! I don't think I have a single character that's very good, I usually just pick random characters when I do for glory because I get bored playing the same every time so I end up being ~average at a lot of characters without any being standout better than the rest, :lol.
 
Mega Man has somehow become the character I play best as. I've been trying like hell to make Samus my main, but no matter what it just feels like I'm playing a weaker Mega Man. It's nice that it's easier to throw people, but... That's about it. And it's so hard to land smashes as her.

I think it's easier to kill with her, but she's less mobile.

really? I've found mega man to be great for landing kills and the specific problem with samus is that although she has good options for layering on bits of damage, she seems to be weak at KOing.

any tips?

Uair, neutral B, up B, and dair off the ledge are all good.

Plus, she gets combos off of throws, while Megaman doesn't.

I think they're both well-balanced and unique.

The CPU in this game is way too difficult. It makes playing SP modes a frustrating experience that isn't fun. It feels broken if that's possible. I never had this issue with any other smash game.

She's really a better ranged player than Mega Man, and I'm a Mega Man main. She just have more flexible options since you can charge and store her beam and her missiles can really send opponents flying, giving you more time to charge and spam.
 
Great games Beta! Your Sheik is really good! There wasn't a second each match that I wasn't sweating. I'm not sure why you feel like you're slow off of dodges; I felt like you were putting in inputs 100x faster than I was, haha.

Anyway, good games! And good luck in the tourny.

It's definitely challenging. But I think it makes more sense to have difficulties that are extremely difficult than it does to water everything down just so people can have a sense of completion.

GGs Tipster. I've realized unless I drop a lot of time practicing I'm not going to get any better and since I don't have that time, I think I'm just going to give up playing online and with GAF. You guys are too good and I've hit my plateau.

I knowwww they were great games but man is it ever depressing losing all the time haha.

I might even drop from the ranbat sorry
