So for the past week or so I've been weening myself on c-stick tilts/hits by removing my attack button and replacing it with grab. It's calmed down my movement a lot, and I'm grabing the shit out of people, its amazing how easy it is to grab people when you don't move.

Man why is that Metroid Smash Tour challenge tied to a CD? I'll never get them all.

I must be coming close though since I got four copies of Squeak Squad Theme in Crazy Orders.

Well I won't be available until Saturday. I have a lot of late work shifts this week because holidays.

But if your movement has calmed down then maybe that means my Ganondorf and Bowser will have an easier time.

Especially now that I know Bowser has legit frame traps off his Jab 1. >:]

Well if the game is only fun for 5 matches in a single sitting it probably isn't for you. And a "Why all the pokemon? Where the characters at?" Sounds like a driveby troll post if you ask me. Considering there is over 50 to choose from with Mewtwo(oh another pokemon but a popular one) "on the way".

Well I'm back so it's hardly a drive by troll post and it was a genuine question as there is a lot of Pokemon in the roster now.

Yeah you have 5 Pokemon with Mewtwo coming so 6 Pokemon and then you have basically 8 Mario characters plus 7 more if you count the Koopalings. So 15 Mario characters. 16 if you add in Dr. Mario as well.

So 2/5 of the roster is already Pokemon and Mario.

The rest are from different franchises with either 1 or 2 and the more popular series get 3 or 4 reps. Such as Fire Emblem, Kirby, etc.

Wow that's a lot of Mario characters! So are they doing DLC or is it a Ambiio. Guess I found it weird with the Pokemon as I have no idea who the new ones are, new Pokemon just goes over my head.

DLC. Going to be either buy on E-shop or a free DL code you'll receive if you bought both versions. You redeem it through Club Nintendo and they will send an email in March or April.

The new Pokemon characters are Charizard(full character no Poke Trainer), and Greninja a full new addition.

And if Mewtwo is a Smash Character they will probably make an Amiibo of him eventually.

I don't really understand how you can consider Smash a button masher though, the stages are too large and you have to be able to reach your opponent in the air as well as on the ground. If two people button mash they'll never be able to fight.
 
Pokemon also lost more characters than other franchises over the years: Pichu, Mewtwo (who is finally coming back as DLC), Squirtle, and one of the most unique movesets: Ivysaur

Sounds good, wonder if they could add in Skull Kid as a fighter and not just an assist. Hopefully it ends up being the same value for money as the MK8 DLC as well.

Well yeh obviously I'd move towards the other players before hammering the buttons, but mainly it came down to just hammering attack and smashing characters on low health. 8 player smash was were I gave up and just hammered away as I couldn't even see my character.

Well if Mario Kart, Hyrule Warriors, Mario Golf is any indication we'll probably see more then Mewtwo, Miiverse Stage, and Tourney modes.

Anyone have sales numbers for the various amiibo characters? I've read that Mario, Link and Pikachu sold best. Any more data than that?
