The Order: 1886 trailer - "Silent Night"

Great trailer. That was probably the first flash of gameplay in the city streets.

Pre-ordered this baby, thanks to Digital Foundry.

Oh my word! Haveth the lord no mercy!? Looks glorious. That city shot... oh wow.

Interesting. I love a good cinematic shooter and respect this developers pedigree, but I'm still hesitant on this game to make sure the shooting is good

Why would they use slow motion? It's so janky when you're at 30fps. In any case, I lost all optimism for this game. Only the reviews and impressions will decide if would buy this game.

That version of that song was haunting. Definitely peaked my interested. Need more footage before I take a pre-order leap, but it is definitely growing on me.

The devs supposedly made it a point to create their engine with no video support, so that's it all realtime...sweet Christmas, that looks insane.
This sounds ridiculous....I believe its all realtime, but not including any video support in a game engine just sounds like schoolyard rumors

Dammit, every time I lower my expectation and then they pull me right back on the hype train.

I think I'm in no mater what the review end up coming back as.

I guess it sounds kind of funny but than again, it's a new engine, and how simple would it be to just not include video codec support for this game when the team is going all realtime for this release?

I figure probably not much.

that was a nice trailer. still blown away by the graphics. can't wait until release and impressions. i'm hoping it proves all my doubts wrong.

I remember reading that somewhere as well. That they went as far as to code the engine so they can't use any video codec.

Those visuals...... Seriously this game has so much potential but I am so skeptical. I hope RAD nails it and proves all doubters including me wrong.-

I don't know. I'm trying to like the game, but the trailer is not helping. I couldn't distinguish which parts were gameplay and which parts weren't. Maybe this isn't for me.

Basically this would entail just not coding support for any video codec :P When you program something, you have to create all the functionality itself. So this would basically be a choice to just not code support for video playback and just use those man hours elsewhere.

On topic.. It looks really good. I'm hoping that it is good. This game has had a really weird pre-release cycle in regards to hype. If it turns out good, I'll deffo have to play it. Might even if it doesn't. If for nothing else, then for the amazing visuals.

OK. That was fucking awesome. I'm so hyped now. Gonna preorder this bad boy with some of my Christmas cash.

Yeah, I am really hyped for this. I will definitely be picking this up Day 1. I really hope Best Buy will put it on their $10 Preorder Bonus list, that would make the entry price for this game Day 1 very easy to swallow. $48 with GCU Plus $10 Preorder Bonus brings it down to like $38 plus tax. Considering this is a game that probably will not have alot of replay value (I am just assuming this, but I would love alternate endings and some choices that can "rewrite" the story throughout), I could slowly play through the game, enjoy the hell out of it, then trade it back in for nearly what I paid for it.

I am really hyped to finally get my hands on it

Nice graphics, boring and limited shooting, QTEs, a heavy focus on cinematic set pieces and story.....

Man Uncharted 2 was an amazing game.

The Order? Who knows. Let's hope for the best.
