For a brief moment when reading this thread (in an attempt to look at the bright side of things) I thought that maybe, just maybe, this would have enough of an impact on consumers that they will speak up enough about day one patches, consoles that can't play without updates, etc. Parents who grew up with the Atari and Nes would be like, "Wait a minute, what is this crap? This needs to change!" I thought, hey, maybe these douche bags are actually the Batman's we need. The anti-heroes that will change the current "throw it out there, we can patch it later" mantra.
Then I woke up and realized that all sides will just blame these horrific criminals, pursue them with the utmost authority of the law, yadda, yadda, yadda.
While I will never side with someone ruining something special for others, you can't control the behaviors of others. You can, however, control your own behavior.
