LIZARD SQUAD is Back. Planning XBL Attack. "Biggest attack yet". [UP: XBL/PSN Down]

For a brief moment when reading this thread (in an attempt to look at the bright side of things) I thought that maybe, just maybe, this would have enough of an impact on consumers that they will speak up enough about day one patches, consoles that can't play without updates, etc. Parents who grew up with the Atari and Nes would be like, "Wait a minute, what is this crap? This needs to change!" I thought, hey, maybe these douche bags are actually the Batman's we need. The anti-heroes that will change the current "throw it out there, we can patch it later" mantra.

Then I woke up and realized that all sides will just blame these horrific criminals, pursue them with the utmost authority of the law, yadda, yadda, yadda.

While I will never side with someone ruining something special for others, you can't control the behaviors of others. You can, however, control your own behavior.

Ruined everything! lol.

No Finest Squad is not fake, the problem is these DDoS attacks can be done by virtually anyone. so if Finest Squad knocks out 10 Lizard Squad members, another 100 can emerge.

And at this point its not just Lizard Squad, its just a bunch of kids paying for DDoS attacks all over the world. Lizard Squad posted the IP to attack last night, so 100s if not 1000s of people took that IP and start attacking it. Finest Squad cant locate and DDoS attack all those people, its impossible.

SONY and Microsoft need to just start posting the IPs of people DDoSing them so then other cans DDoS those people. SONY and Microsoft arent going to DDoS people because its getting down and dirty, and perhaps breaking the law. They would essentially be just as bad as the hackers themselves and would look bad in the public if they did DDoS. But even posting their IP's, people would cry about and say its invading privacy, so essentially SONY and Microsoft cant do much here. They could call local authorities, but again we could be talking about 100s/1000s of people which is just to much to handle.

I can't log in to my profile on Xbox One, so stupid. My nephew hasn't been able to play Garden Warfare which was his christmas present, fuck this.

Man, you won't quit.

What aren't PC gamers responsible for? Global warming? PC gamers, right? Over commercilizaiton of Xmas? Thanks PC gamers!

Won't quit with what? They're attacking the systems they don't care for. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Plus console gamers are an easier target as little Jimmy that just got an Xbox can't retaliate.

360 working fine but XB1 I can't even sign in my profile and can't sign in to PSN. Luckily I got Super Smash Bros for Christmas :)

Legitimate question, what is the point to this? You can't really brag to your friends that you took down Live and PSN, I imagine those friends would call you an asshole. So it can't really be for bragging rights, can it?

People are pissed about not being able to play online with their friends on Christmas day/night. Not sure how you have managed to stretch this to day one patches and how retro gaming was the greatest. This has fuck all to do with people coming together and making things better, it's about some immature fucking nobodies with nothing better to do than to try and ruin other peoples day because quite obviously their own Xmas must be hollow and severely lacking.

Miserable assholes that need to bring others down to make themselves feel good, don't know what else other than that.

So these little pricks got to play their Christmas games after all. Though I'm too involved in family matters to have anytime to play today, my heart and soul goes out to all the kids and people wanting to enjoy their Christmas presents today.

I can only hope that every single fucking Xmas for these Lizard scumbags involves broken promises and daddy coming home drunk and beating the living shit out of them.

Also shame on the victim blamers in this thread. Sony and Microsoft aren't to blame here, anymore than the users of their services. It's the bloody criminals that are perpetrating these attacks. They are ones at blame!

The problem with IPs and DDOS is that they are never from the computers of the individuals initiating the attack. Its Malware on your mom and pop's computers that does the DDOS for them. Listing IPs will not solve anything.

I wish people wouldn't follow them, retweet them, or mention them on Twitter. Make them feel unimportant. When they tweeted something dumb, and its gets like over 1K retweets, it just adds fuel to their fire. Ignore them please.

I can't play offline on Xbox One cause i can't log into my profile.

Got my nephew a PS4 and Xbone for Christmas. We install the SSD into the PS4 and can't do anything else due to PSN being down. So we switch tot he Xbox One... can't do anything at all due to the core services being down. What an awful Christmas.

can't sign into xbox, I feel bad for everyone who received a console for Christmas and can't even connect online because of some assholes.
