Haven't been able to get online since Christmas eve. What a crock of shit.
Are they still being DDOS'd, because I thought those attacks ended yesterday when XBL went back up.
That's why today it's Sony's fault. They have a huge sales lead yet an inferior service for going on a year now plagued with the same issues. All this maintenance and the service never improves.
I can connect on PS3 and Vita, not PS4.
I suggest to people to leave the PS4 on and just hope you get signed-in automatically when it goes up intermittently.
It is reasonable to ask at this point:
- When can we expect things to go back to normal?
- Will there be a compensation?
Opinions?
it seems some things are working, i put in Lego the Hobbit and it stared to update, its strange.
I doubt it very much, this isn't a Sony fuck up.
People keep saying stuff like this and I keep thinking, so...
People pay for a service, if we cannot access that service then why should we have to pay? From the perspective of the end user it doesn't matter why the service is down. If the user cannot use what they are paying for then you shouldn't charge them.
I think it's way more understandable that it's happening from someone being malicious than through Sony's incompetence. But if you want your money back for the last day I'm sure you know you can contact Sony directly.
So it is just PS4 having issues because i'm able to sign into PS3.

Speak to Kim Dotcom about compensation, apparently he's in charge of stuff like this now.It is reasonable to ask at this point:

Same here. Just logged onto NA and JP stores on PS3 with no issues.
Transistor freezes at the boot screen for me -- guessing not being connected is why?

How much compensation is a few days of a service that costs about $4 a month worth?
That's... not how it works. It's gotten to the point where Sony has to extend my PlayStation Plus sub 2-3 days. Seriously what am I paying for?
Same here, the web store has been down for at least 30 hours now.well i managed to sign in at least online the website( UK ) but still cant access the store

25th….(Christmas morning) and Whole day.
26th… Whole day.
Not able to sign in, update, play on-line.
Not able to redeem codes for games.
Frustrating and beyond rediculous. Just saying. At this point I don't care who's fault it is. Just fix it Sony. And official statement from Sony with some info would be nice.
How does it work than? I can't redeem any codes I got Christmas and can't play online. I can't even set up my cousin's new PS4 properly. She has been waiting since Christmas to properly set up the damn thing and play.That's... not how it works.
Should i bother power cycling my router/modem, will it do anything?

You should absolutely be compensated for a service that you pay for yet can't useThat's... not how it works.
