I'm hoping for Invasion 2.0 with AI buddies a la Titanfall, alongside regular BTB.

343 really can do no right with the internets it seems. If theres one thing 343 did right - its the "look" of Halo. They truly nailed it with H4 and really all the artwork from the books since they took the helm. The concept artists they have over there are easily the best in the biz outside of From Software. 343's Chief himself never looked cooler but a simple but perfect example is the 343's UNSC bird logo over Bungie's old one. Just night and day stuff.

343 already did the classic Rocket launcher in H4 - I guess people forget about that. Tech changes fast in 343's expanded universe. This is talked about quite a bit in the recent books/comics. The new launcher looks like an updated M72 LAW used in Vietnam. Looks more real world military to me which Halo has always aimed for with the human weapons.

No. Not at all.

343's look for Halo is flat out terrible. They believe the Michael Bay school of making everything look like an overbusy mess is a good idea, and their complete lack of understanding the Forerunner aesthetic at all is a continued debbie downer. The Promethians are absolutely, absolutely terrible designs. It's interesting that 343 showed off dozens of concepts and they had picked absolutely the worst one of all of them.

Yeah, that's a lot closer (and probably the source design). Definitely a lot more like a futuristic version of the M72.

Yeah, the underbarrel looks like a futuristic adaptation of the M1, although I think the top is closer to the M72.

The comparison shops are crap. Hand is in a completely different orientation. Original is the top of the hand, the other pic is of the side. Armored gloves are still here, the cloth/under armor is just colored in this instance.

I don't know if I ever played a DLC Halo 4 map in matchmaking (not counting the maybe 2 week long dedicated playlist) or customs outside of Forge World stuff. I usually buy all the Halo map packs but I'm reluctant to do so now after the waste of $$ on the Halo 4 season pass.

I'm thinking, post your highest rank in the pre-release beta, see if we can't get get people matched with others at a similar skill level so nobody starts out overranked and ends up getting whaled on later
