Giant Bomb GOTY 2014 - Destiny Has Brought Us Here

SWERY is one of my favorite people to follow on twitter and instagram. he seems like the nicest guy in the world and he's a total goofball. last time he was in america he posted like a two week long series of pictures of himself with a stuffed monkey travelling the country and drinking

I take it you never tried playing Metal Gear Online.

Not that the servers were busted, but the entire signup process was so insane that I don't think I made it past the second or third registration/user ID requirement. It was CRAZY.

Yeah, I didn't play Online till way after the release.

I wonder if they're going to launch MGO on the same day as MGS5? Hopefully they'll have it under control. Can't imagine too many people playing multi on release day.
 
Reading all the lists, can we give Desert Golfing the award for "biggest bandwagon that everyone's on, but not sure why"

I agree that D4 and Smash weren't great choices but the Singstar quicklook is one of the better quicklooks of the year.

That was the main thing I listened for this year. I knew it was coming and he nailed it.


"Destiny should have been game of the year." Exactly.

Instead it was a hot steaming pile of garbage that reeks of disappointment and wasted potential.

They are out of their god damned minds crossing Mario Kart 8 off the best looking list. And I'm a complete graphics whore. It wins on color, art, and graphics quality. But alas that is their opinion and I will respect that.

I think most people voting for D4 were hoping they would cover stuff they didn't already cover in the Quick Look.

It kinda sucked that their voting system was busted, since you couldn't vote for anything that was associated with foreign releases prior to 2014. Then again, maybe that was by design, so they wouldn't have to look at a bunch of weird (cool) Japanese games... but Hatsune Miku... it can still happen. :)

Yeah, I agree. The game is beautiful. So is Captain Toad. Really don't agree with their choice and I love Guilty Gear. It just really looks like any other fighting game but for those like 2 seconds.
