fine I believe you, guess I've been arguing with too many who think Kojima is a god and can do no wrong for my own good. I love the MGS games but just sees this as an obvious introduction to a piece of merchandise.

MGS3 and MGS4 were chock full of product placement. I don't mind some original MGS merchandise.

Initially it was all fun and games with Kojima but now I just want a release date. I admit I'm getting a lil bit frustrated cause I have the feeling this will release around Sept. If it's going to release after e3 put me out of my pain.

In the very same boat as well. With the numerous indications of a spring release, ranging from the Ground Zeroes DLC notification, statements that development is "nearing completion," and initial fiscal year reports, I would be greatly disappointed for anything extended beyond April. A release date and/or window with specifications of potential limited/collector's edition(s) seem to be the only viable option at this moment. I highly doubt we'll receive any additional significant reveals outside of specifications for MGO as I know Kojima Productions will undoubtedly want to avoid unveiling the plot further than they already have for the time being.

i don't see why they couldn't do a website countdown and trailer release or something like that. i don't think a big gaming event is required. plus, if you do those things during big events, the announcement gets lost in the shuffle. if you do it before GDC when things are calm, you can dominate the news cycle on IGN, kotaku, polygon, etc
