Football Thread 2014/2015 |OT11| This Is Our Year!

Updated.

I've listened to some more of the albums you m8s recommended. The higher your name the better I rate your recommendation.

Mr. Marston (Nujabes - Modal Soul)
3Sixty (Michael Kiwanuka - Home Again)
Walshy (Destroyer - Kaputt)
Kikarian (Washed Out - Paracosm)
Hixx (tensnake - glow)
Wedward (Slowdive - Souvlaki)
L1nnet (Ryan Hemsworth - Alone for the first time)
Zabojnik (Dream theater - images and words)
Clegg (Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea)
CCS (Alcest - Les Voyages de l'Âme)
Yen (Darude - Sandstorm)
Esch (Tangerine Dream - Phaedra)
Xpike (Silversun Pickups - Carnavas)
Scum (Prodigy - the fat of the Land)
Linius - Anything he recommends sucks ass.

Thanks mates. Good stuff.

Pls don't be offended if I didn't like your choice.

Edit
Top of Page. Sheeeit.

FF, you asked for chill music and still haven't listened to Tycho who I suggested and others seconded. Smdh.

I may have missed the suggestion Meier. I went back to the page yesterday and just quickly glanced at the posts that quoted me to make sure I didn't miss anything.

I'm assuming you just didn't quote me. I apologise.

Won't happen again.

I'll give it a listen later.

Added Frustrated_me's suggestion to my "to listen" list too

Nice.

How's American Sniper?
It's out on the 16th I believe. To be fair, I don't really trust Hollywood, and especially Clint Eastwood, to give a decent portrayal of anything surrounding the US military. I'm expecting jingoism and War on Terror justifications.
That being said, I haven't seen his two 2006 war films.

I'm surprised nobody suggested The War On Drugs - Lost In A Dream. Too popular? It's probably my AOTY. It's a pretty chill album too, FF.

Letters from Iwo Jima is class. Didn't watch Flags of Our Fathers though.

So disappointing that I didn't bother with Letters, which is apparently very good. Should give it a watch one of these days.

Letters is one of the best war movies I have seen. Watch it Zabo. Flags of Our Fathers is shit. Don't watch it Hixx.

Chelsea has contacted Messi's father.

Really wanna see it again. I mean, it was really entertaining, I just felt so distracted by how it was made I don't know if I missed anything on a story level. It hasn't hit me like it's hit a lot of people despite the fact I really enjoyed it

Okay just finished watching it.

I absolutely loved...how it was made! I liked the theme of the story but I've seen that one plenty of times before. Edward, Naomi and Keaton were all fucking glorious! Emma is a bit of a miscast I feel? I realise she was nominated but for some reason I didnt connect with whatever she was doing (weed scene, bit flat)

The Grand Budapest still first. Only one challenger left: Boyhood (and Under the Skin?)

Messi under Mourinho wouldnt work, he's too lazy.

Arsene is the only person other than pep that can unleash the GOAT.

Arsenal, bloody arsenal

Why has nobody asked the big question regarding Messi to Chelsea.

What happens to Diego Costa?

Nothing he plays Oscars position (is what Chelsea fans would say).

The real big question is how people think Chelsea can outlay the £300,000,000 to buy him and pay him without getting fucked by FFP.

lol @ messi leaving..

He's going to be a player coach before leaving anywhere. Then, he's going to just coach when his legs give. Then he's going to crown himself president. Then, he's going to purchase the club with all the money throughout the years.

Then..

Barca are going to vote in Laporta this summer.

Hire a manager Messi likes.

Make Messi the highest paid athlete of all time.

He'll be happy again.

He will establish shell corporations to avoid paying taxes

I'm pretty sure they'd cut a deal which would include taking % of sponsership agreements etc. I'm sure Messi leaving barca to go to any club, the money would be made back.

And you know how dramatic the PL likes to get. Trailers and shit for his first game, an football focus replaced by an hour slot just dedicated to his greatness. Might even give him his own channel. Hell Messi coming to the PL is probably good for the wider economy

I hope messi gets sold for less than 30 million.

If chelsea or city pay some ridiculous 150m+ then the club will use it on the most useless shit that it would just be frustrating. "new milk stand at the camp nou, expected to finish by 2018, costing just under 65 million euros"

United is team Argentina, we've got Rojo and Di Maria. Pay no attention to those blue plastic fans across the way, Aguero is always hurt and Zabaleta is a bald old man. Come join the gaalaticos Messi. You won't have to fear David Moyes anymore.

It's probably my favorite album of last year too. Excellent record. I dunno if I'd call it "chill" though. Have you listened to Beach House? Bloom was my 2012 AOTY.

Well, it's not 'chill', but I still find it very relaxing. :)

Beach House. I haven't. Will. Thxm8ey.
