For anyone in Ireland, Gamestop have Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD for €7. Essentials edition but crazy value for money.

I'm pondering MGS: Ground Zeroes from PSN, €5 on PS3. Said I wouldn't pay any more than maybe €5-€10 for it but that I would have preferred waiting for a The Phantom Pain edition which comes with it, but I'm unsure if we'll actually get that. I'm not waiting till after release time for Phantom Pain so I don't know.

kubus, I'm sorry to inform you that it's been 10£ cheaper on Amazon UK for at least a good week :/
...

I'm just gonna pretend I didn't read that. Lol

edit: nope, cancelled game and ordered from amazon. Thanks for the heads up Eolz :D

Great price for Yaiba Ninja Gaiden - is it worth th £4?

Well, you also get costumes for Hayabusa and Momiji in DOA5U, so if that applies to you, it's a good price lol. The game itself isn't too great, but has music from Grant Kirkhope. Mindless brawling, totally not serious, lots of swearing, etc. I only played the first chapter so far. Perhaps worth a punt at that price.

Hmm, they have FFXIV for the PS3 for under £2. Anyone know if that free upgrade to the PS4 version has a cut off date? I won't have a month free to dive into it for most of this year.

"Due to popular demand, the upgrade campaign has been extended until 31 March, 2015." Source

Thanks for the feedback! Still very unsure about it, I mean the price is great, but would I ever get it off the backlog, that is the question lol.

8 euros? :-) Says €81,80

It was!

What's the best place for a PS4 at the moment? I noticed that GAME have stopped their £350 bundles now (just when I was planning to get one). White if possible.

£299 from Tesco,

Argos have the white one with one game for £329,

I hate to say it, but you left it too long. All the best deals have now dried up.

Had a feeling that I would have missed some of the better deals. Darn paydates. That Tesco one is tempting seeing that the Infamous bundle comes with PS+ as well.

DRIVECLUB £19.85 @ Shopto

Super Smash Bros for Wii U is £30 again at GAME or Amazon UK.

Captain Toad is £29.00 too.

I'm not sure if I should get these two at their current price or wait it out. Can never tell with Nintendo. I've been holding out for a Tropical Freeze deal and now I think it's out of print.

I'm expecting Smash to run similar to Mario Kart price-wise and grabbed a copy not expecting it to drop under £30 for the foreseeable future. It seems that Wii U titles this gen are either going to be in demand with in demand prices or out of demand but out of stock. I was holding out for a Pikmin 3 deal like you were with DK:TF with a similar result, and I think the way to go with those B-tier releases are to grab the deals when they pop up around release date. I grabbed DK:TF in March for £25 and I'm kicking myself seeing that Pikmin used to be going for around the same price point.

It screws my head to try and get into the mindset of buying day one instead of instinctively waiting like a mature, disciplined cheap arse. Right now I'm telling myself that because Treasure Tracker launched with a lower RRP that it'll come back down to sub-£25 at some point but I may be delusional.

Does it work with the Wii U? I'm talking about the keyboard of course.

My keyboard and Wii U aren't in the same building to be able to test this for you. Sorry.

I'm having a hell of a time finding a decently priced Hyrule Warriors right now. Even post Christmas eBay gift dumping hasn't been much help.

I think the huge flop of the WiiU in the UK is going to absolutely kill any good deals for its games. There just won't be enough stock to significantly outpace demand.

I've been lucky so far. Got Toad for £25 with a voucher from Tesco, MK 8 & 3D World for under £35 each, Bayonetta 1&2 for £32 and Smash with the WiiU itself for £150.

But I really think with Nintendo WiiU titles, you need to be happy with paying out £25-£30 and jump on deals as soon as you see them.

Some titles maybe. But NintendoLand and Wii Party U have been super cheap. NSMB U and NSLU (standalone) have both been around £20, I think the former has been cheaper too actually,

Pikmin 3 has been available for around £20 as well.

The W101 has been under £20 iirc.

I'm getting on Smash Bros for £30.

How worth it is Bayonetta Special Edition if I've already played the first one. It's £15 more and I don't know if it's worth it.

Fair enough, though I don't think that's the trend going forward.

From what I've seen, where I've been paying attention to the releases for only really the last year or so, they seem to be holding prices far more steadily than earlier, possibly over produced titles, from before Nintendo knew just how poor sales were going to be.

Everything from 3D world onward has been an absolute nightmare to pick up for bargain prices.

NSMBU / Nintendo Land / Wii Party U are most likely games that were expected to do much better than they did and now need to be shifted. Think Wii Music. I don't think overstocking is likely to be a big problem for retailers with future Wii U titles like it was at launch.

Depends on how much you liked it the first time round obviously, but I picked up the special because I'd only played the notorious PS3 port. It may not be a massive step up for a 360er.

It is a step up though, and has the Nintendo costumes that mix things up a bit. I'm certainly enjoying it more than the 360 version, which I never actually got around to quite finishing admittedly.

I thought I got too good a deal on importing a New 3DS from Play-Asia (paid about £160, including postage) - just got a nice juicy invoice from FedEx through my door for £40+. I'm not sure if it's customs - which "disbursements out of the scope of EU VAT" would seem to suggest - or what but adding an administration charge of more than £10 on top is really taking the piss.

I always seem to get caught by customs. People say it's a lottery - with me it's just fate. At least last time it was Royal Mail so I could get work to pay it off.

Email them and they'll take the £10 off. The rest is import tax.

Looks like almost everyone who got a New 3DS from Play Asia was gotten though.

Importing always has its risks. I would never import now unless the VAT is prepaid without a handling charge. It's not worth the risk. I once had to pay an £8 handling charge on like £2 of tax and I swore never again to pay that ransom.

Unfortunately a lot of people get hit by this tax unexpectamtly and refuse delivery, so when you pay that £10 you're also subsidising all the refused parcels being returned to the international seller, likely for a refund.

More Smashing (heh) 3DS deals (some moreso than others)
Super Smash Bros 3DS £24.85 @ Amazon UK
Mario Kart 7 is also the same price @ Amazon UK
Animal Crossing New Leaf £22.99 @ Amazon UK
No idea who they're matching, sorry.

I know the SSB price is good no idea of the rest although with MK7 I feel now "whats the point MK8 is out" and you can think similar to SSB 3DS although I'd say the gap between SSB U and 3DS is far smaller than MK7 and MK8.
