I've been eyeing a 3ds for a long time, saw the new model and decided it's finally time to jump on board. I even own a couple 3ds games. How on earth is it acceptable to release a chargeable device without an adaptor?

I come into this thread and I expected no faceplates to the atrocity which I summarized here:

Why would NOA ignore the money to made from faceplates by offering XL only. Completely mad. Maybe retailers don't want to worry about 2 SKU...

I think reinforces how silly it is that faceplates were not made to also work on the XL and how isolated the decision was.

By isolated I mean was NOA even asked about the N3DS design and the deliberate exclusion of the faceplates on the XL (to sell more limited edition systems).

But AC adapters? Come on. Welcome to the rest of the world. It would be nice for them to do a courtesy heres $5 off (that is the justification for not including it, a person with a DSi, DSi XL, 3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS has what 5 of them already, what do they need a 6th on for, why they should have to pay more).

It's bad enough that they continue to sell woefully underpowered hardware at absurdly high prices, but taking the AC adpater out is an all new level of greedy.
