Windows 10: The Next Chapter - Media Briefing Details (Phil Spencer speaking)

To late to get a ticket on the Hype train? When do we get to our destination?

I'm really looking forward to W10, but I'm afraid something like GFWL2.0 might end up happening.

So sign me up to the apprehension train!

Of all events, this does not look like one to me that warrants the making of a hype train.

I'd like to be proven wrong.

So this thread is about trains now? anyway, I really like what they already have with the Windows 10 Technical Preview, but I don't expect anything for gaming, prove me wrong Microsoft.

Edit:
Sorry misread your post.

However I cannot imagine the next version of Windows will be a train wreck.

Windows 10 will probably be great for most things. I'm just concerned about what it could mean in terms of some kind of GFWL 2.0 screwing with the current PC gaming ecosystem we have. I'm really happy with the way things are and have been going on PC, so any sudden change from MS, the ones directly in control of the underpinnings of that, makes me very wary.

I assume he'll be writing an article on what he thinks will be happening, which will published on Monday.

"What to expect on Monday" sounds like he has insider info, not just random guesses.

I'm still not expecting anything truly aimed at PC gamers who are not interested in the console.

I got $5 on the MCC hitting PC

I'm going to go for the most extreme angle for kicks - MS will force all games on Windows 10 to be available via the "One Store" with functionality for Xbox One also. The same will be done for Xbox One games to PC via the "One Store". Cross purchasing. Streaming possible between all devices, PC, Xbox One, Phone. PC has Xbox Live features for "One Store" games - subscription fee version of Windows 10 required, includes Xbox Live access. Apprehensive train redeemed

about 90 hours to go. Hoping for either streaming both ways, or cross-plat buys/saves

Cross-buy would require games to be ported to PC, so streaming is still the most plausible path because you would need :
-A Xbox One
-The game
-Windows 10

You can. It costs money, but that likely won't change.

They've added the option to their website? About time. Last time I checked you had to buy a console to change your gamertag, which is absurd.

Edit: Nope. You still need to buy a console. Silly.
