New Xenoblade Chronicles X trailer

I haven't played the first one on Wii but this looks great. I'll probably pick it up whenever it is released in NA.

Do you guys pronounce it "Xenoblade Chronicles ex" or "Xenoblade Chronicles cross?"

I prefer Xenoblade Chronicles X(Christ) because it's going to be god like.

"chronicles" is unnecessarily added to the localized version, its just xenoblade to me, xenoblade chronicles is just a mouth full.

This is my most anticipated game this year. When is GameXplain's analysis going up?

As soon as they're done. It's not like they don't have a ton of other stuff to cover, too^^

It's "ex." Xenoblade Cross is the Japanese title (Zenobureido Kurosu).

Was bored so I decided to make a .gif with just the mech parts.

Man, the wait is unbearable!

Why does the main character have red hair in the trailer when during the treehouse gameplay he had silver hair? Can we customize how he looks?

You watched the Treehouse demo but forgot the five or so minutes they spent in the character creator???

Some battle screenshots that was released alongside the trailer.

Yeah you can change the appearance, voice, gender, etc of the MC. The Treehouse footage goes more in-depth, but I can't link it right now because I am on the phone.

I wonder if there is still speculation of simultaneous co-operative play, online or offline. There were a couple of clues in earlier trailers that lead me to believe there would be some sort of co-op play, but at this close to release I'm really wondering if its there.

Probably not.

Once again, if Nintendo create a launch trailer showing ANY characters or the fighting, this ring will flop. It'll play great but those two parts in particular look horrendous.

Well, the fighting shows audiences that it's a JRPG and not a TPS.

I can't help but agree with you that the North America trailer needs to be mech, open world, mech, open world, end. The Japanese trailer can be a whole lot o things though.

I wonder how far along the translation is considering that they still haven't shown a trailer with English text (or at least I don't think they have). That just makes it seem like they may be lagging pretty far behind the Japanese version.

Or maybe they just haven't implemented the localization yet and Monolith gets the footage from their latest build, there's no way to show off an English trailer now without creating a special English build just for that which they don't really need because nobody gets hands on time with it anyway. I wouldn't read anything into that part.

Here's a nice comparison. It's not the exact same moment in the scene but it's close enough.

It's a Nintendo game so get your port begging somewhere else.

I am not port begging just saying that most of the jrpg fanbase is not on the wiiu

if the game is any good than ill buy a wiiu but for now ill keep my expectations low don't want to get disappointed

Different time of day? =p

Time of day doesn't make the explosions look better and the wreckage parts glow. :)

I really hate this logic. If no game of a certain genre ever comes to a platform the fanbase also won't. You have to start somewhere.

The game will be fantastic, just going by the foundation it's building off of with the original Xenoblade being one of the best JRPGs this side of Y2K and one of the finest games from the previous generation.

Seeing as how none of the current gen consoles have any JRPG out at the moment, how do you know where they are at?

By having any semblance of logic. I think it's obvious that the majority of JRPG players are on PlayStation platforms, just due to the sheer size of the install base alone.

Heck, Hideo Baba, the Producer of the Tales games, has even said that the series will go wherever JRPG and Tales fans go. He's already decided on sticking to PS3/PS4.

You can hate on port-begging all you want, but it doesn't take a genius to understand that the game would sell better on another platform.

Sheer size of the installbase? The Wii U installbase is bigger than the PS4's in Japan.

Baba also insisted Tales fans were on Vita and not 3DS after Tales of Innocence sold quite a bit worse than Tales of the Abyss.

Not that I necessarily disagree, just Baba and Tales are not the best example.
