I'm in the same situation. I'd imagine that Canada Post would do the final delivery, not sure about the import fees though. I am also expecting the shipments to take near a month to arrive.

Anyone in Canada have experience with orders from Amazon.fr or Game UK?
 
Had to leave work to drop off/pick up some suits at the dry cleaners. Almost had like 9 panic attacks expecting to see in stock alerts while I was on the road.

What have I become?

Got an email from amazon.fr this morning that my preorders for Marth and Villager were canceled due to them being discontinued. I was probably going to cancel it anyway what with Marth coming back later, but interesting nonetheless.
 
three day weekend with the holiday today and it looks like i'm out of luck on them going up anywhere :(

pretty much everywhere i could order from is blocked at work so i'm at the mercy of them going up in the evening until next weekend.

I really want the Fire Emblem ones and those are the ones most likely to sell out quickly.

His original was probably the best looking along with Dedede. Maybe they toned him down and decided to instead make more of him due to how much demand their was for Marth and with his support in the upcoming code name STEAM?

In other words they cheapen out on the material cost =P
 
Ended up ordering a few of these guys, not going for a complete collection just got a few of the guys from games I like. Ended up with Mario, Luigi, Samus, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Zelda and Link. Would like Fox and maybe Pit and Falcon but not paying ebay prices, hope best buy gets them again.
 
It's the face of Ike I can't stand. It doesn't look like Ike, it looks more, I don't know, anime.

Take away the clothing and the sword and tell me that is a completely different character and I would believe it.

Pretty much :P Not sure if the original was feasible in the first place. Looked almost too good :P but it's odd how he was the only one who was downgraded outside of the original Wave with ones like Peach (no panties lol and...lets say a less flattering face) and Link (with the cheaper mold and yellow stand).

That made sense tho, the first Amiibo we saw at E3 were more proof of concept. None of the other waves look changed from initial design to release outside of him. I'm thinking that they were going to try and match the original design as much as possible and thus more limited but decided to make him more cheaper and produce more.

I wonder if some sites could be updating now. Another oddity besides the rearranged Amiibo order on Walmart is Sheik on Target. Clicking that link now gives a "sorry something went wrong" error as opposed to the grayed-out pre-order buttons.
 
I know a lot of people didn't really like Sheik but I think that figure looks awesome! The detail on the clothes and all the little weapons looks great. Face doesn't look too bad either... and even if it was the hair covers half of it ;P
 
Wave 4 hasn't shown up as placeholders on Amazon yet?

I predict that the Super Mario series will be up first within the next 48 hours, while Wave 4 will not be available until after the Wave 3 madness clears.
 
Is Pit available anywhere yet? Or will I forever go without a Pit? I refuse to hunt store to store.
 
Seriously disappointed with the quality of Ike. That was one that I was really hoping would look good. Did someone post a picture of what the final version of Bowser looks like yet?

Easy answer to this. If they treat them as strictly figurines, then no you will not have to pay any duty associated with them. Figurines are duty free oddly enough, however any taxes (GST, HST, etc) will be probably tacked on in my experience if the retailer doesn't account for them.
 
I just have a gut feeling Meta Knight is going to be tough to walk in and grab. best buy is the most incompetent store in existence.
 
Is it common to have amiibo dreams? I've probably had 5-6 in just the last couple of weeks.

One had me finding a Rosalina, Wii Fit Trainer and Marth in a GameStop. Another had me seeing custom (albeit, shitty) Ganondorfs and Marths at a mom and pop shop. This is getting out of control.

Manged to order one Villager from ToysRus US. I couldn't believe they actually honored the order and sent me an order confirmed email.

Took them 16 days but its finally here.
