First thing I thought when I put the weather on, the wheels were spraying more than before. I figured it was just me misremembering though!

Evo really should put this kind of info in the update list because this game has caused way too many placebo effects. :P
 
where can i find this for cheap in the uk, non-digital? Everything that's shown about this game after it's launch "disaster" has increasingly tickled my hype-gland.

This. Between Driveclub and MK8 I think some devs are starting to "get it". Give us a lot of content for our $60, then go the extra mile on DLC in both amount of content and price. The only thing left to complete the Driveclub redemption is the PS+ edition.
 
the second jpn course has some awful shadow flickering (played 9 am, time x 60, clear sky and weather). never noticed something like this in the game before, it looks horrible.

To be fair, the STI is the GOAT. Literally. After a few laps on Trial Mountain, I actually said aloud, "Holy shit, this car is awesome. I feel like I'm riding a mountain goat."

I imagine many of you are having the same, "HAHAHAHA!! What the fuck??" reaction my friends had, so I'll explain. After spending many hours finessing cars through corners, driving the STI felt as simple as diving in to a corner, rotating to point at the next apex, and diving towards it. It felt like I was careening down the side of a cliff as effortlessly as a mountain goat, only needing to decide which boulder (apex) I was leaping to next.

Well fuck, my PS4 didn't auto-download the update. Now I'm going to have to sit around for an hour while this thing downloads. Rather unfortunate, to say the least.

Loving the new tracks, but the multiplayer time trial might be my favorite addition.

Does anyone think they slightly lowered resolution or AA with this update? I'm noticing some more powerline with aliasing issues that never stuck out before.
 
It'd be nice if the devs could throw in an option to remove the rain effect from the screen when you're in a third-person camera mode, to go with the removal of flags and crowds. While I understand the reasons for it, it'd still be nice to have the option to turn it off. It's just too hard to see when it's on, and my immersion is often broken because I'm straining to see things while being reminded that there is a glass screen separating me from the action. I'd also like to be able to see what the environment around me looks like while it's raining -- it's hard to admire the scenery when the view of it is plastered with water smudges. The effect is fine (and even desirable) in the cockpit view, but when outside the car, it's a hindrance in more ways than one.

I'm at work so I can't check, but from what one or two posts I think crowds and flags are lumped in together. So if you disable crowds, the flags should go away as well.

Considering all the previous updates seemed to have people thinking the AA got better only to find out there was no change, I'm guessing perceived downgrades would be the same situation.

Doubt anything has changed, but I guess if someone wanted to they could post a comparison.

Yup. They sneaked that into this update. Rainbows and heat haze. Double rainbows too.
 
Amazing update. All this time I assumed it would be paid (I already own the Season Pass). This makes the game even of greater value, Evolution is doing a fantastic job supporting DC.

CEX sells this pre-owned for £20 now. I believe it is their standard price for it, not some sort of timed deal.
 
Is there a way I can save/share the seed to the double rainbow course? It's a double rainbow that shows up as soon as you cross the bridge.
