Considering all the previous updates seemed to have people thinking the AA got better only to find out there was no change, I'm guessing perceived downgrades would be the same situation.
Doubt anything has changed, but I guess if someone wanted to they could post a comparison.
Try this. Put the system in standby for about 15 minutes. That always speeds up the process for me. I don't know why, but things seem to download faster in standby (or whatever they're calling it these days). My update is 4.2 GB and going = (
CEX sells this pre-owned for £20 now. I believe it is their standard price for it, not some sort of timed deal.

Turn the crowds off, the rest will follow. This is in single race mode, btw.Where i can adjust this? I didn't find any of these options in game.
Makes changes to the impact of world collisions whilst driving on a straight, to reduce the amount of drag and speed lost from impact.

I would say that's a good guess!(I'm guessing here) You all get one chance to set a time without anyone else on the track, then it compares them all afterwards.
This was a patch update.so is this on the store or is it a patch update? Can't find it and i'll probably pick the game up tomorrow.

This was a patch update.
wonderful, so i can't put it to download overnight :<
Double rainbows.
I find it hard to justify above £20 as i don't pay the multiplayer hostage ransom and i'll only be fucking about with it in singleplayer.
I don't play MP in racers, and most likely won't ever touch the MP in this game, and I still paid £20. I'd pay £25 too.
These new tracks are all a blast to play on.
Nakasendo, with the switchbacks leading down to the water's edge... Best track in the game yet. Wow.
Dear Jesus, they add such details that 2 people will use or care like the rainbows and the fact that if you turn off the crowd they don't cheer anymore when you succeed a challenge or again, you can have certain track objects removed (like flags and shit).... BUT I still don't have my "shit stupidly splattering on-screen 1994 style - ON/OFF".
God damnit.
They aren't going to remove that because it would be unfair to those that may be driving in the cockpit view. Their vision is going to be obscured by the rain because of that, so if they remove it for other views then those players will have a clear advantage over cockpit users.
This is the only argument people can come up with and it doesn't hold ground. View are NOT currently balanced. Just the reality you're not having the same point of view makes it unbalanced. Stuff splattering on screen isn't there in chase view to "balance the game" because they would also need to reduce your field of view, make automatic cars faster, make people playing with controllers having a boost in the handling stats for cars, etc. TONS of things that would need to be done if the idea was to balance the views. Its clear that aspect isn't in their game design plan.
That effect is there because we are used to it, the artists want to see their effects on screen, graphics are still a strong selling point (the "woaaa" part of it I mean), its also easier not to make the option if it doesn't bring more sales or if most people don't ask for it. I mean, there's a ton of reasons why its there but "balancing the views" is NOT one of them.
A game with no bugs? I think that's asking a bit muchDear Jesus, they add such details that 2 people will use or care like the rainbows and the fact that if you turn off the crowd they don't cheer anymore when you succeed a challenge or again, you can have certain track objects removed (like flags and shit).... I disagree. I prefer it stays in all views. Maybe the views aren't completely balanced, but I think in this instance, removing that effect would completely imbalance the views.

if you can turn it on/off you could have it on/off in all views. I mean, a cockpit view without it doesn't look less silly than a chase view the effect on...

And as somebody who plays in either cockpit or dash cam view, I just cannot understand why there's simply no option to toggle this effect on or off in other views.I disagree. I prefer it stays in all views. Maybe the views aren't completely balanced, but I think in this instance, removing that effect would completely imbalance the views.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news and I mentioned this in the OT but the gamma/brightness levels in cockpit view on all of Japan's new courses are totally off. The picture is washed out with poor black levels and I think the game doesnt look so good now imho.
This is strange cause I tested all of the other courses in the game and even though I've noticed a slightly worse gamma change in the others....Japan by far has the worst gamma levels in cockpit mode.
Hope this gets patched soon but I wont hold my breath cause I seem to be the only one that's noticed so far and I'm sure most people don't really care about it :/
It was the first thing I noticed straight away![]()
How did you get a 90-degree rotation on that shot? I tried doing that in photo mode ages ago and it wouldn't rotate that far
Ahhhh so its not just me then. Yeah the graphics look like they took a downgrade! even the AA looks like it has been downgraded.
But the gamma brightness is totally off.
It sounded like he was describing insects splattering on the windshield/lens.It's not a bug. He's talking about weather affecting the chase-cam.
I noticed this too, but I only tested the Japan tracks. The accelerated time seems to judder the lighting rather than have it smoothly progress. So I don't know if it's a Japan-only thing or if it does it across all tracks. But it's kind of jarring, thoughits impossible to ignore, the bridge in particular. seems like a bug to me.
edit: only happens when the timelapse is above 1.
Did anyone else have trouble downloading the update? Mines been going all day and it's still not done.
