It's all about the election now. Obama is likely setting up the direction for the Dems to follow regardless of who ends up being the nominee. Making that stark contrast.

Yep. Like anything is happening before then regardless. GOP congress getting shit done, lol.

These are all common sense policies that are already law in most European countries.

Giving moms sufficient time to take care of their newborns should be exactly what all family-value conservatives should advocate.

And LOL at the Republicans sitting silent about the woman statement. Massive salt.

They don't realize what a huge trap they're walking into acting like this.. when there's going to be a woman at the top of the opposing ticket for the next race. Barring some freaky black-swan event in the next 20 months, the gender gap in voting is going to be the story of 2016.

As much as I love everything the President is saying, it's not going to happen :/

It's not about that stuff happening as much as it is about making the Republicans look bad for not allowing it to happen. There's no way any of that stuff can happen with this Congress, but if the Democrats continue to show how many things won't happen with this Republican-dominated Congress that the majority of Americans would want, it will help the Democrats' cause for both the upcoming presidential election and the next Congressional election.

Bidens face is fucking hilarious oh my god.

Edit: Go Tennessee!

Honestly, who the heck voted in the Republicans and allow them to control both Houses and Senate. What the heck is the Republican's platform?

I hate the MSNBC real-time agree/disagree graphs/charts. What is the point of that? To show that republicans don't agree with him on every point? Just seems divisive to me.

I only started watching the SotU addresses when Obama was elected into office. Has the GOP always acted this way during these things?

Less government intrusion and low low taxes and few regulations.

Oh yeah, and incredible out of control defense spending.

Tada, Republican platform!

I hope so, but the dems really fucked up this midterm. They needed to focus a bit less on the social stuff, it didn't pull votes like it did in 2012.
