Fighting Games Weekly | Jan 19-25 | As Seen On WSHH

It sometimes works towards the players' advantage because if they're on their game, they play the entire tournament that way.

Persona will prob be on of the friday games, but that's okay. It's a surprise that it's even there.
One of the Smashes is probably going to have to be done Friday, the other on Sunday, since the games will need to run Friday/Saturday independently.

See you guys at EVO.

We'll work hard for YOU (the community).

How about that TEKKEN tho.

Tekken 7, hype. That scheming behind the scenes!

Can you put in a good word for Northwest Majors 7? Seattle Tekken would love it. And it's our 7th year, perfect for the 7th Tekken. =o

Solid line up. No one should be crying about it. Tekken 7 is a nice surprise. Kind of excited to see a new 3D game with some hype behind it.

I'm thinking Smash 4 on Saturday. I feel like Tekken 7 will be taking some significant space on Sunday especially.

The bigger question is if Smash 4/Melee get a higher amount of people than marvel does that mean we'll get their semi finals streamed instead?

For a series that, according to its creator, would not have a future in a competitive environment, Smash bros franchise sure is getting a lot of representation at the largest competitive fighting game tournament in the world.

Sakurai pls

I agree with Smash 4 on Saturday, but I feel like Tekken is going to be a Friday or Saturday finals honestly. It's a game almost no one in the US is going to have any significant amount of time in, I feel like entrants are going to be on the lower end of the games this year. It's super awesome that they're doing it at all, but it's in a super weird spot with it being there period. My guesses (in no order):

Friday: Persona 4 Ultimate, KI
Saturday: Smash 4, Tekken 7
Sunday: Melee, Ultra SF4, UMvC3, MKX, Xrd

Could see maybe KI and Tekken swapping places, but yeah.

further proof that he should stick to making games and remain silent

maybe 3-4 evo streams?

Oops, what I meant was, will smash get main stage priority then?

Every game gets the main stage for top 8, but outside of that, the two biggest games get their pools/quarter finals/semi finals streamed on the main stage too. So if Smash overthrows marvel this year, will that game be main stage?

alright take your bets on #2-4 in entrants

me, I'm going:
2. Melee
3. Smash 4
4. Marvel

Smash 4 might get the new game hype boost to push it over Melee, might not

Eh, I'm just going to sit back, and be happy that Tekken 7 is looking rather imminent.

Maybe Chloe will be ass tier, even, and it will be "like" she's not even there.

Nice schedule. I'm looking forward for eve 2015 :)

so why is p4u at evo instead of uniel? from what I've read and seen, the latter has a bigger scene but it always gets unnoticed.

I agree with the placings, but I think Melee is a monolith. Smash 4 will get some impressive numbers but Melee is probably going to contend with Ultra after all the growth this past year+.

Yeah I think Melee will be HUGE. Definitely thinking number 2.
