Yeah, I don't know how Gundam games work, I was wondering this too.
Wii U Gamepad would be able to accommodate this though.

If the Pokemon Company is looking to give it its own league like they do with the handheld games and the TCG then I'll say it'll be tremendously important.

I know it's early, but I wonder if we'll see it at an Evo down the road
 
I don't see Pokemon supporting it for Evo when they've got their own thing.
They probably want to stay clear of the Evo audience as well.
 
I'm catching up on last night's ATP live while siting here at work, and Aris has me in damn near tears with his Jon Jones eye poke analogy.
 
Can anyone tell me why whenever Mr.Wizard is brought up in a conversation, the "McRib" is always mentioned?

I really dislike tenkaichi and am extremely offput by the naruto games... I have a bad feeling this will suck... :(

Im really hating the lack of status ailments from the pokemon series and the fact there isnt a Kof style of using multiple pokemon.... It feels like they just made naruto with pokemon skins.

Pretty much. I played it for about a year and a half competitively, and just got sick of it. Game was fun at first, but I've never gone back.


I'd still like to play Pokken, and it very well could end up much better than the aforementioned Naruto games. Time will tell.

You can play two player split screen offline on a single console. To get a proper game going you need 4 consoles and 4 displays.

Edit: But yeah Pokken doesn't look anything like Gundam VS
 
Why are people bringing up the Naruto and DBZ games? I thought it was well known that Harada is the main person behind this project, so I'm sure that there isn't much to worry about as far as the game goes mechanically.

As lost says above, you can can play split screen gundam, but it's a 2v2 game and you can't do 4 player split screen. From a purely technical perspective, the game starts to choke in certain levels split screen already, 4 player would probably kill it. Maybe if Maxi comes to PS4 they'll do 4 player local. It would be a neat curiosity but the primary way people engage with this game is online.

We shall see if it plays like it when we get hands on it though,

Hate's probably too strong a word to describe my feelings on that particular Naruto fighter, but I REALLY tired of the gameplay after a while. It's hard to convert a lot of damage when you can safely KnJ(aka burst) out of combos every time you get half of your meter--which is really easy to do in that game, and knockdowns basically whittled down to landing either your unblockable super or unavoidable command throw if your character had one.

Oh, yeah I know what you mean.
All of the Clash of Ninja games are basically that. I haven't touched Taisen 4 in a long time but I do remember Itachi being top. iirc, he has a move that cancels into his teleport and if you try to KnJ to punish him, he's safe.

Bifuteki is streaming the FGC games. Spooky was actually taking that weekend off and just entering Xrd to play at APEX.
 
Just got a Rise of Incarnates email for those who are fans of those games - Early Access begins on the 4th of Feb.

Overview of changes from the Producer highlights an increase in game speed, lower hitstun, optimisation and graphics improvements and major bug fixes.
