Anyway, he tried to take the figure out of my hands, but I reached them behind me, he tried for a me clearly struggling with not punching me in the face. Sadly I dropped the figure behind me and onto the counter, where the clerk just took it and register it.

I lost that battle. Then I apologized for my behavior and then told the guy how I was rude in taking the figure from his cart, he offered me a Bowser and then I told him I couldn´t accept it because my behaviour was just oh so bad (I was not really sorry, but I tried to make him feel bad). He was visibly confused and there was more people waiting to make the purchase. He looked around him and realized everyone was judging him. He turned red and told me that it was too late to give me a Sheik because it was already processed. I told him it was fine and that he should enjoy all those toys, since I sure wouldn´t. Then I said thank you for the clerk who was really nice in letting me know the guy was buying all of them. Took the Bowser and put him back in the guy cart. And went out. While I was going out I could hear the other people murmuring behind me, most likely saying shameful stuff about the other guy.

Then I just went to the other TRU and got Toon Link and Bowser anyway, I have Sheik in the way so I´m not worried. I also told the story to the other manager and he asked me to describe the guy for him and I did. I´m pretty happy right now.

Fucking hell. I would not have reached into the cart to grab one, but I certainly would've made my voice heard to the employees and demanded a manager even if there isn't a quantity limit.

No doubt that by next week that asshole will be seen returning most of those Bowsers and Toon Links to Toys R Us once they become common everywhere. He will probably look like a fool taking that many back to the store. Damn shame about Sheik though.

I would've flat out complained to them (and exaplined how bad scalping is for them) and maybe they would've made the scalper take one of each. This is ridiculous. Even Tickle Me Elmos had purchase limits :/
 
Makes me glad that I've only heard/seen of one scalper in my area, & that was for those Pokemon Rumble U figures. He was traveling around the different GS' & buying all of them. GS employee I usually see said he felt bad because he had to tell a kid that the previous guy bought them all. Seems like he didn't approve of it as well, but had to let him buy them.

They should just tell people limit one per customer OR lie and say this is the last one. When he leaves then you can tell the next person the same. If they come back and say wth say oh I found more in the back!
 
I wonder why NowInStock didn't go off for Bowser/Sonic preorders on Amazon.

Edit: I received an email/text for Bowser, but not for Sonic and no in-browser alert or alarm for either.

Buddy said his store had 6 Falcons, 3 pits, and 1 little Mac. Must have been a late shipment but they're just sitting there. That's crazy.
 
Yeah, the other TRU had a 2 by costumer limit, and they had them all hiding in the back, so maybe that is why I was able to get them. I used my rewards coupons so its all dandy.

Also, I just got another sonic from amazon, I checked and there is no limit for that one, i could add 3 just fine. Those this means its going to be common?
 
Don't worry guys Ness will come with every preorder of Mother Trilogy 3D from Gamestop.

Now we just have to wait for Nintendo to announce it...any day now.
 
Haven't really been tracking Amiibos, but I saw some at the Beale AFB BX today. Figure I'd share since this OT always seems to be in the top of GAFs board. If anyone is in the Sacramento area and has access to the base the BX has these ones for $12.95.

Unfortunately, as nice as that would be, the person could complain to the manager & be all "your employee flat-out lied to me!", possibly causing them their job. I still wish they could do some limit.

Hell, if I do see Shulks on the shelf, I'm not gonna be greedy and buy all of them (not that I could with my funds), just one or two extra to sell at a fair price to help someone out on here and in return, helps me out with my limited college budget.

Why do stores even allow them to buy so much when it's clear they're just going to resell it and make money off them.
 
Also noticed Sonic has a limit of 3 per person. Has that been on every amiibo yet? Maybe Amazon's finally learning?
 
Glad I went to Toys R Us!

Picked up Toon Link and Bowser, they both look great! If anyone is in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia the TRU in Newport News has a ton of these two and others.

I don't believe your cousin is telling the truth. No one else on here has seen any of wave 3 in NA outside of TRU. Lucario maybe, as there's evidence of that, but no way is Rosie out there yet.
 
Thanks... ordered Sonic on amazon cause i somehow overlooked ordering him before. I have all the other amiibo from that wave ordered EXCEPT him -- but that's corrected now.

I don't think i'm getting the Mario Party bundle cause I get the feeling it's really meant to be played local multiplayer with little/no single player content. and that just won't work for me. :P

In amiiboGAF, we preorder first and cancel later. You'll have plenty of time to think about how bad he looks when he goes for 2x-3x the price.

Yep. Target would never, ever break a street date. Even if the product made it to the floor the registers flat out won't allow it to be sold.
 
Well I managed to score a Bowser today at a Virginia TRU. While he's common, it still put a smile on my face as he's probably my favorite Mario character.

Overheard a couple of guys talking about how they should have been there last night when they saw the thread...yeah I know that feeling.

All this talk of scalpers buying up 50 and 60 figures seems discouraging on the surface, but it actually makes me think we're nearing some sort of end of the bubble. Once people like that start getting into the game it becomes even more obnoxious but the fate of the secondary market is pretty much sealed. Smart money probably got out with wave 2.
