Amiibo Discussion Thread 2: I Got 99 Pre-orders But A Rosalina Ain't One

I see GAME.co.uk have put their prices up by nearly 50% again but were kind enough to let me know my pre-orders aren't affected.

Still no news as to whether they will re-activate by other pre-order which I accidentally cancelled!

Try Germany instead of Europe. I don't think the current situation is way better in France now than it is in USA. I've never seen such a display here, and while some places have some stock, in others there's no amiibos anymore on the shelfs.

There's a single location where I found 5 out of the 6 last ones (and they had only one or two of them), which suddenly appeared 9 days after the "launch" elsewhere, and a second shop that had 4 out of 6, which, I reckon, is good. Beside that, out of ~12 shops, I've only seen Ike and Sheik in a couple of places and nothing out of Wave 3 elsewhere.

They're not (wave 3 was out a week in advance, and that made everything harder to find)

My Rosalina preorder was thrown away too :/

Believe me, it's better, but Germany seems a very special case, and I wouldn't bet it's like that in the whole country. It's hard too in many places in Europe...

That is so cruel. I'm still waiting on my preorder of BOWSER for god's sake! I can literally purchase him right now at my TRU yet I haven't heard a peep about my preorder...

Well if it makes you feel better, I have to wait until Thursdsy for Bowser and the other 5. We're getting the whole lot in one day even though it's a little later than everyone else for those first 6.

A poster (or two) before said Rosalina would be an even harder find as the Frozen fans will grab her too.

I didn't want to believe it, but here we are :D
 
Anyone else still waiting for their Rosalina to be shipped from amazon.de? I ordered it on the 20th, must have been one of the last pre-orders they took.
 
Was at work last night (GameStop) and an older woman came into the store looking for a Villager for her grandson. Felt bad.

Nintendo, step up your game with these you imbeciles.

We also haven't received Bowser yet so can't wait for that so I can pick mine up.
 
Phew, okay sounds like just West Coast people are getting theirs shipped out. Weather is bad out east so I shouldn't be too surprised.

Aww. =/ You're a good person. Nintendo making things hard on the employees and such. Let's hope with this Marth reprint we'll see the others too.

Sheeeeit, don't be tempting me. I'm all in for S.T.E.A.M., but I'm having plenty enough fun trying to track down amiibo for the characters I really dig -- if I added four more figures to that, I think I'd risk brain melt.

I also got the Game.co.uk email, guys. About gave me a heart attack. My Ness pre-order is basically my amiibo holy grail.

I already got my plan.

Hit target farthest out at opening. If nothing, hit second target on route home. toys r us then third target if I need to go.
 
Just back from TRU, Glasgow (UK)

Incredibly depressing. All they had was about 20 peach amiibos.

Meanwhile they had a full selection (at least 40 different characters) of Disney infinity.

was really hoping to find a rosalina :(

Just got shipping confirmation, Ooohhhh it feels so good.

Final cost of the figure with shipping after taxes: $13.45. It pays to be a RED Card user.

I'm in California, btw.

As for Lucario, I ordered mine through Toys R Us via their eBay page, I've yet to get a shipping confirmation on that one but I got my Capt Falcon from the same order weeks ago, so I'm not worried.

for Shulk I did in store pick-up. I'm most excited about that one out of the wave.

I didn't order the Best Buy exclusive. :( hoping to track one down

AmiAmi shipped my Rosalina and DDD, can't wait. Looks like I won't get DDD in Canada for a while (Rosalina is most likely not coming at all lol) and I ordered the Japanese one to open anyways.

Hehe, worst part is my store had put in the effort to add the UPC pegs for WFT/Marth/Villager but never actually filled them. :p Figured they would at least have replaced those with some Wave 2's so I could buy my Zelda there, but nooooooope. xD

It's an attractive design. The whole ice-blue, blonde/platinum blonde look just has a hold on people. Whether it's Elsa, Rosalina, Vergil, Jack Frost... they're ice cool designs.

Elsa's new look in green is not quite as good as the blue, though.

Sorry if this has been asked a million times already but I haven't had much time to keep up to-date on this. How are Canadians planning on getting Rosalina now that the Targets are closing? Has the stock been pushed to a different retailer or are we pretty much screwed in having to order for them U.S? Thanks for the heads up in advance!
 
Nothing is safe anymore....

After having numerous preorders from GameStop UK cancelled I managed to order a Rosalina a few days ago from the Nintendo UK store when they had them in stock. Just received an e-mail from them saying my order is cancelled :(

We have no idea, no statement from Nintendo (of course!).

Best bet right now is to hope that target.com will have some stock on release day or soon after. We can order it and have it delivered to a US address (they do not deliver to Canada). Fun shipping fee ensues.

There is also, of course, hoping for people here to be able to buy a few and ship them to us. She will be expensive no matter what if Nintendo does not figure out how to sell her in Canada.

I was out today and went to Kitchener Target and I talked to a manager and they confirmed that 90% of stores got their last shipment a week ago but there are a handful of stores are going to be receiving a random shipment of stuff from time to time and those shipments should include a Rosalina shipment. He said to call stores when they launch to see if they have them because at this point the system doesn't show whats coming and when.

I know Rosalina is supposed to release on Sunday, but are any others definitely supposed to be out that day too oo? Planning on going to Target at opening and was curious if I should try Toys R Us as well.

Well that sucks:( Thanks for letting me know though, I definitely need a back up plan if Toys R Us or EBgames doesn't end up getting any.
