Wow this is such an amazing trailer. Goosegump for 7 minutes non stop. So hyped
I don't know how heavily that new cut scene system is featured, but it looks very cheap...?

Can't wait for this game, my wife is playing through Ishin right now and explaining to me what happens at the same time. I don't get to play but at least I can follow the story!
In the meantime I'm considering buying a ps3 and playing 3, 4 and 5 when it's out in english.

Thanks, looking at it and its cool the music changes based on what style you select which adds a lot to the tempo of fights, the disco part is really easy to understand and even has climax dances like in Ishin when you get enough heat to perform them. For Kiryu's power style, I'm hoping through abilities you can up his evasion a bit so can at least dodge a bit better and not get hit by so many cheap shots, I know you'd just get super armor and don't worry about taking hits but I still like to move outta the way of attacks when I can.
I'm thinking the demo would be dropping this month.

Taking into account what Yokoyama says, this would be a good time for Sega to localize the 1&2HD collection(PS3 and maybe the Wii U version), as I know there would be a lot of people interested in the series and in Kiryu's story.
Or at least put Y1 and Y2 on PSN, maybe.

Does anybody know if this game will have strict limitations in place for when users can hit the SHARE button, like Ishin did on PS4?

The only thing that's cack is they still have the map in a square in the middle of the screen. Fill the screen with that shit and show everything at normal zoom.

He is a land speculator or something like that in zero. Technically, you can't make a console game that player character is a Yakuza member.

I don't think you really need those to enjoy the rest of the series. You might end up waiting forever and missing some very good games because of that. I, for one, have not played 1 & 2 and I enjoyed 3 and 4 a lot...
That being said, it would certainly be nice if we got Yakuza 1-2 HD in English...

Watch the 1st one on Youtube or something. It's a really frustrating game to play imo.
2 is where it gets real good.
4? Yeah, it was. 3 was a better starting point in the series than 4 (I say because people often ask), but 4 was the better overall game.

I don't know about the share play but you can stream/capture your gameplay in the adventure mode that you can play after you beat the main game.

Reading this thread makes me wonder which sub story system RGG gafs like.
Since RGG5, the sub stories' mission providers appear on the map when they are available. This is good for completionists. You don't have to check guides to complete games. Actually, 5 was the first RGG for me to unlock the Amon missions
. But I'm feeling this system removes some fun from the game. In the former system, hanging around the back street sometimes leads you to a room filled with Yakuzas in diapers all of a sudden. The new system won't make this kind of surprises, just heading directly to the arrow in the map to play a sub story and you can expect something coming.

Doesn't matter, most PS4GAF are aware of are western games, any exposure or awareness of more PS4 Japanese games would be worth it.

edit: download is a little over 5GB and is taking a bit of time. Hope it finishes before I go to bed.

Yeesh, demo ended up being way longer than expected. Still haven't finished it, but I really gotta go to sleep, lol. Was expecting something more along the line of the Yakuza 5 demo.
Still, goddamn this game is slick. Everything looks great, Kazuma's new styles are super rad, Kazuma and Nishiki's shitty karaoke band is amazing... Only problem is how many of the cool side activities are blocked off in the demo. I weep outside of Sega High-tech Land's doors.
Really stoked to play the full game now. Granted, that'll be two years or so from now when the Best Price version comes out... but still!

There is a 14-day trial available through the Japanese PS4 store. It's under PlayStation Plus -> PlayStation Plus -> first banner with 14 on it. It is only available if you never had PS+ in the past.
Also, the trial will be available to everyone later, which if I'm reading this right, is this coming Wednesday.
