Also I'm starting to get worried about my Shulk gamestop preorder. At the time I thought in-store pickup would be the best because I could get it that day. Now I'm starting to worry that they might sell my preorder before I can get it. Does anyone have experience with in-store pickup with Amiibos at gamestop?

I am sort of happy that the second wave of the Mario series (if it exists) will likely contain a traditional Wario. Bit sad the Smash one is his WarioWare outfit.

I'm pretty sure they'll honor your preorder. GameStop is rather good at that. Well, that is if you already paid for that is. There was a PSA going around here for a while telling everyone to make sure they paid off their preorders.

I'm glad that the Smash one is the WarioWare outfit. I don't think WarioWare Wario has ever got merchandise so an amiibo of that design is nice to see.
I won't be surprised if we see a Zelda line soon. Although what designs to use will be interesting to see. I also expect Pokken to have amiibo support so there's a Pokemon line there as well potentially.

So this is interesting. Checked Target, nothing new. Decided to check my Meijer. Soon as I entered the electronics, an ad for Majora's Mask 3D played. TRULY I WOULD BE MET WITH A TERRIBLE FATE.
..........nah, I saw they had like 6 or 7 Bowser sitting there. What was interesting was that they had the pegs and labels all ready for Wave 3 (they were dated about 1/25 or 1/26). From what I noticed, there was 2 pegs for Bowser, Toon Link, Sonic, & Ike, while only one for Mega Man, Dedede, & Sheik.
We kind of already know about Sheik kind of being hard to find (though part of it is due to early shipments), so I wonder if this is indication about Mega Man & Dedede being the more rare ones this time around.

I went by Target last night with my daughter to look at toys, and we stopped by electronics (since they're right next to each other). No Wave 3 were on the floor. I also asked about Rosalina, and he basically said I'd need to get there first thing on Sunday morning...which is tricky. I'll be at church at 8:00 to sing and do sound-check.
I might can get away around 8:30 (Target is just five minutes up the road), but I'm not sure if that will give me enough time. Given that I live in the south and church is a cultural thing, maybe I'll luck out and be able to snag Rosalina, but I guess that we'll see.
So if anyone is able to snag an extra, I'd appreciate it. I'm sure she'll be easier to find down the road, but I'd rather get her sooner rather than later.

Yes, as mentioned above. New York City area, they shipped my Rosalina.
Yeah, that sounds about right, with Ike and (maybe) Toon Link being the uncommons.

So I go to my local Target basically everyday and today I noticed they had new pegs for all the wave 1/2 rares they didn't have up before. Asked the guy working if they think they are getting more and he basically said they would not have us put the tags back up if not. Could be nothing but here is hoping a restock is coming. He also would not sell Sheik even though other Targets are.

They more or less told me they were there but they can't sell until Sunday. I wish these things weren't street-dated sometimes (although it creates chaos in some ways if they aren't).
Yeah. Even though I have all of wave 3 pre-ordered I still plan on going in store on Sunday and getting 1 of everything there too, just in case something gets messed up and my pre-orders get ruined.
From Target i'd probably have to look for Ike, DDD, Sonic, Megaman, Sonic, and Toon Link.

You know what sucks? The fact that you have to get a back up just in case your preorder gets canceled...... Anyone esle starting to burn out?! The only thing that keeping me going is that Lucian preorder.
nintendo would need to reveal the main/new characters in the upcoming zelda and that would be a major spoiler, I think.
Ganondorf was supposed to be a secret character up until Arbiter Grounds in TP and Demiss, you only see him in at the end of SS, I think.

He's the only wave 1 & 2 figure I've never seen in the wild. To me, he's rarer than Pit. I got lucky in getting one from a friend through a trade.Why are the characters I like and want the rare ones

I gave up on Villager at one point and ToysRUs did a restock and managed to snag one so I'm keeping faith that that will happen again, eventually.....
Could get around that by doing separate waves and spacing it out enough to give time for people to discover the spoiler. I mean, yeah eventually you're going to spoil people who haven't played yet, but giving a couple of months might work.

you know I was looking at my own example of amiibo wave and I instantly was like "Out of those I am sure Impa and Groose would be unicorn rare".
but why must each wave have rare stuff?? why can't nintendo just say "fuck it, here's the wave, there are 10'000 of each figurine across the country and do whatever you want with them"

I live in a pretty bad area for getting anything rare (Rockville, MD) so I wouldn't be surprised if getting to Target well before it opens won't be good enough.

The day I got Little Mac, there were still 4 or 5 of him left. I thought Diddy was going to be the rare one because I got the last one of him.
The day I got Pit, there was 1 left.
Captain Falcon was actually the last one that I ever saw in the wild! I think I've seen them all, though I'm not 100% sure about Marth. He was behind the counter, so could have been a pre-order... but the store I saw him at keeps all of the amiibos behind the counter no matter what.

My biggest beef is that they delayed by Wave 2B shipment, and when it got here, both Pits I had ordered had damaged packaging, and since it was like 3 wks after retail release there was no hope in hell of looking for a replacement locally.
The same thing is happening here -- delivery 20th to 26th, but a release this week.

Just noticed my Sheik (from Amazon) got a guaranteed delivery date...March 2nd. Better than nothing if it holds up.
