However, my brother and a friend weren't so lucky. The store was short shipped and they only received 5 of the 11 from Wave 3 each. Friend is pissed. Brother don't care.

"I need to get the Fire Emblem characters... so Marth better be restocked well! Zelda is a given so I need a Ganondorf announcement ASAP. Star Fox should be easy... hopefully? Kid Icarus is looking good so far, so here's hoping I don't miss out on Palutena and Pitoo. Finally, Metroid. Can't wait for Zero Suit Samus with a rod up her tush.

No, they have not officially released yet.

You might be confused with Wave 3 (NA version, which is completely different to Wave 3 Europe and Wave 3 Australia).

All of these characters have a street date in North America on February the 1st.
Wave 3 - Part 1 (released)/Europe
- Lucario
- Rosalina
- Bowser
- Toon Link
- Sheik
- Ike

Wave 3 - Part 2 (coming out on the 20th of February)/Europe
- Meta Knight
- King Dedede
- Shulk
- Sonic
- Megaman.

Likewise, the Super Mario Amiibo series has a release date of March 20th and Wave 4 has a release date of April 24th (EUROPE).

It looks to me like a fabrication job, measuring and slicing up clear polycarbonate tubing, followed by sanding to smooth the edges. It's a very cool idea!
