Wait, what stuff? They couldn't already have gotten amiibo like Ike, Dedede, & such. They should only possibly have Bowser, & he's not technically available from them until the 6th (though GS' site says you can buy him).
Why in the world do stores let people pre-order so many? They should know that he just plans on scalping them. Crap like that is exactly why a limit should be imposed.

Mine shipped but never received notifications nor has the order status changed from "confirmed"
You could be in for a pleasant surprise. Just stay home.
Nothing for me as well. Then again neither has Amazon.ca so I don't know what to expect anymore. As long as I get them eventually I don't really care.

So many shitty stories to wade through. Hoping my Lucario was put aside. I'll check for any extras for people here, but not holding much hope. I probably won't be able to get to TRU until this afternoon. Possibly early evening.

Its 8:55 here. I got in line around 8:40. There are some people here, but in their cars. This is central coast in California where there are 2 Toys R Us for every 40 miles.

Yeah I checked with TRU Canada here in town and they said they were supposed to get Wave 3 to release today but their shipment was delayed via email. Seems to be the case Nationwide. Street date is today so once they show up at any other retailer (EB seemed to be the only retailer with Wave 3 stock in store) they will be sold.
They said Lucario is Feb 6th as per the webpage. So maybe all of Wave 3 will release next Friday?

Went to my toys r us this morning and there were 2 boxes sitting on the counter. one of the customers went behind the counter and got the boxes, opened them up and grabbed 3 lucarios. She rushed to the front and paid for them and left. Apparently those were preorders. the managers were confused and had no idea what to do about it, but 3 people didn't get their preorders now. I had 1 preorder and was lucky enough to get mine.

I called toys R us customer service last night. I pre-ordered for shipping to home on December 9. They checked the updated release date or shipping date of my order and it says it will be shipped out Monday, February 2. When I login and check however, that date that they gave me does not show. It still says release date December 24. I would recommend you call their customer service as well and please report back here

My girlfriend has officially jumped aboard the amiibo train. She woke me up at 7am today excited to get ready and go out to the stores in search. Thanks to her we managed to get the only Toon Link our EB Games had. She's American and we are headed down to visit her parents in NY this weekend. We plan to head to Target early Sunday so if the store allows multiple Rosalina purchases I'll grab one or two extra for my fellow Gaffers.
Should mention:
EB had quite a few Bowsers, one Toon Link and then for pre-orders they had 4 TLs, Quite a few Bowser, and one Shiek.
Bestbuy had nothing.
Toysrus had nothing.
Target had noting.
Walmart had nadda.
Plus side of Toysrus which was a hideous awful store on the inside that had trading cards literally from the 90s (Anastasia and Power Rangers the First Movie first release cards) was that I picked up Captain Toad for us to play. She's wanted it forever and I finally caved. Grabbed the last one, is this game going out of print or is this thanks to the strike?

10am est. The two guys in line peeked curiosity in the manager, who came out and asked what they wanted being in line well before opening... they claimed the only two lucario's while the other 18 were pre-orders..
I'm not sure what to make of it. On the one hand, it's frustrating as a collector, on the other the idea of no more retailer exclusives can only be a good thing.
In the meantime, I can't fathom Nintendo's long game here. It's hard to even comprehend how much money they're leaving on the table at this point. The hype is built, time to open the floodgates.
Oh and last rumor I heard was TRU is shipping Lucarios 2/1.
Ya, i know the employees at a local gamestop just can't tolerate them. Guy I think has had 62 Shulks preordered through family, as they limited it to one preorder per day.
