Lol. The scary thing is knowing Square Enix this is not that far from what could possibly happen. I think the trolls at SE are laughing at this thread and are just salivating at the possibility of disappointing gamers again.

Hey I'll take this. If for no other reason than to give fans a chance to show their "enthusiasm" for the Chrono series so that maybe we'll get another game someday.

What a great post! I wish every post was this well thought out and pertained to the topic at hand.

Seriously this post speaks to me. Before I read this I thought FF7 was well liked game with one of the best turn based combat systems to date. But now thanks to this post I know the game is shit.

That's what Square will be revealing. Project Z is an hour long documentary about how Final Fantasy VII, which we all thought was a timeless classic, is in fact shit.

gaf hates every popular game. :P There was a recent thread made on when Square lost their mojo, and 1/3 to 1/2 of the posters said with FFX. Can't take gaf opinions on games seriously anymore.

Hey it's just my opinion. I grew up in the NES and SNES FF era and FF7 left a really bad taste in my mouth. To release that garbage after FF6 was hard for me to take. In any case that's why I didn't really care about their troll for FF7 because to me, a remake or a release of the PC version made no difference to me because I couldn't give two shits about the game.

A release of CT and CC on PS4 even without any upgrades, on the other hand would be pretty great because I cant play them on PS4 as it is now and hopefully if enough people bought this hypothetical release, maybe they would see that a third game (technically 4th) in the series would be profitable.

I recently had a discussion about FFVII in my podcast (shameless plug), and I realized that in the many years I've discussed this game online I have never once heard a legitimate reason for why someone didn't like the game.

The most you ever get is "this game sucks" or "this character is (insert one word trait here)". I've never heard any complaints that were actually worth listening to.

I'm starting to they don't exist. I even met someone who made a respectful case for why FFXIII was his favorite and FFVI was his least favorite.

Yeah I was just being satirical, but I remember that thread. It's not gaf so much as it is a mindset. Opinions are fine, but it's clear many people are just contrarians. People who probably never even played the game (or whatever being discussed) and just hate it because it's popular or well liked. The best part is many don't realize that they're even doing it.

But I'm wondering if people are going back to it and changing their minds about it. I can see a lot of English speakers having a problem with some things after getting used the WRPG boom.

It's the same complaints people have used for over a decade. It's all meaningless trolling.

I just wish they would just make the FF7 Remake and get it over with. If they don't want to do it themselves, license it and let someone else do it.

Uh those are stalactites not stalagmites first off... ;) To me that looks the the same picture taken at a slightly different angle. I don't think anyone's expecting something big, and that teaser might not have anything to do with the game itself for all we know.

Edit: I'd be happy if whatever it is has per-rendered backgrounds actually
