I said this before but I'll post it again because it probably got lost in the Salt.

GG HawksGAF! Seriously, I have a bunch of respect for the Seahawks and I love a lot of the players. Russell, Beast Mode, and the LOB. Great game and I hope your team finds success in the future if the Pats can't.

I'm gonna enjoy this one though. I feel like us pats fans deserve it after the shit we've put up with for the past two weeks.

It's a TD if Wilson and the WR execute a bit better. At the worst it's incomplete. No need to lead the WR there, throw it to him

He has Lynch there other side. Gruden Spider 2 Y banana

Fuck you and your sportsmanship. :p

That's a minuscule sample size. Patriots have the worst goal line run D in the league, Marshawn was unstoppable today.

How many did he have from the 2 or 3? This is a meaningless stat. You play the same D on the 1 that you do on the 2 or 3.

Edit: Hawks played the numbers game and came up short, but they ran with loaded boxes before and succeeded.

The call doesn't look that out of place. I'm sure the pats saw something and expected them to throw the football in that play which enabled Butler to anticipate the offense for the interception.

A player did a great play, the seahawks exposed themselves to this by throwing the football, but nobody would be talking about it if Butler doesn't make an awesome play.

MMQB at is best.

Maybe? IDK either. Its a game of luck anyway. If the rookie doesn't pick it off Caroll is a genius and the sport shows are talking about the Pats not being able to get it done post spygate. Instead Caroll's a idiot and tomorrow's sport shows lead off with "Is Brady the greatest QB of all time?"

That's exactly it, too. Crazy how much one play can change the entire narrative. As for why that play call, I can only imagine the successful decision to pass at the end of the first half instead of taking the easy FG might have influenced them to be more aggressive again.

^^The only Pats fan I like.

There is a holy war going on in the skies.

Men of Tebow and the demons of the other realm are battling amongst each other for this sacred land. May my sermons empower the Men of Tebow who follow He who brought peace to this league.

This title should always be for Bucket. It shall always commemorate the great sorrow the football community feels on this day.

Peace be with you.

Pettiness aside, seriously what an incredible game. Best two teams going at it, plays being made on both sides, momentum swings, everything you could want in a football game.

Much respect to the Seahawks, that is an incredible team. Pats just made one more play.

Wasn't that the idea for I. Frankenstein?

Here we go. Brady is too much. The Seattle defense sucks, they know they can't compete.

Lmao you can see the fear in there eyes.

Pats got this, touchdown coming up

I got 30 bucks on this

If that is what you get from the words of a righteous man in a place of human suffering then I don't know what to say. Bless you, son.

MMM I appreciate the blessing, all this salt it sustains meeeee.

I was going to make a post almost exactly like this if we lost. Then I saw all the trash talking and the hate, and the way the hawks reacted and shermans reaction it something primal was flipped. It's so vindicating.

damn. indeed, a bit faster on the trigger and that's 6, easy.

I don't know if he is or not, but he damn sure is a winner. Got his team (with a lot of help, as is true of all team sports) to 6 Championship games. 12 game winning drives in post-season play. And if his defense didn't shit the bed vs the Giants, it would be 14. He never gives up.

That's what I remember of him from his time at Michigan too. I went to the Orange Bowl with my dad in '01 when they beat Alabama. They were down 14 points twice to Sean Alexander's Crimson Tide but he never, ever gave up. That shit looked grim, but he stayed poised and my Wolverines won that game in OT and it cemented Tom Brady as a god in my eyes, so I'll cheer for him wherever he goes.

That game is a metaphor for his entire career. Sometimes not favored, sometimes behind. He never gives up and he seems to play his best football when everything is on the line.

He's on a very short list of QB's I'd want piloting my team in a Championship game. That's for damn sure. He gets shit done.

The Patriots never won a Super Bowl when Tebow was around. Look what happens when the man stops playing football. The evil Cheats run wild on our sacred game.

Please make a comeback, Tebow!

I wonder what the Pats would have done if that encroachment hadn't happened. Was there any way to kneel and not get a safety?

That's an underrated thing; how the Seahawks D lost their composure there. The Pats could've snuck forward for a yard or two and a safety wouldn't have killed them, but the game was certainly not over.

your post are fun to read.

I just never want to hear someone say Russell Wilson is a good QB ever again

He's been carried his entire career. His record against SB winning QBs is not his, it's his defenses.

If the Seahawks pay him like reports said they would they will have fucked up that franchise for the next half decade

Russell isn't a good qb. He's a great QB. He should be paid as such.

That safety knew exactly where that ball was going. Wilson should of saw his placement.

You're seeing it in a still photo, the click and close on that play was textbook, few break that up. You're right, he was in position, but week after week DBs are in position but don't close on it in time.

The real crime in that photo is that Hawks were scared off by one additional lineman in the run game. I man spread it out, option that backside and try to even up the numbers.

The call doesn't look that out of place. I'm sure the pats saw something and expected them to throw the football in that play which enabled Butler to anticipate the offense for the interception.

MMQB at is best.

Listen you have 40 seconds, 1 time out, and the best power back in football. One additional DL is going to scare you off? Like I said, spread and shred. Keep backside honest like they always do with the threat of read run, even up the numbers. If it fails. Call timeout and regroup.

#PrayForSeattle #RealAmerican

Back when Pats played the Rams. When they all came onto the field as a team. After 9/11. They seemed like this underdog team. This American team.
So they succeeded and have had success since then. And somehow they are no longer #realamerica? Why?Because some footballs or some recorded signals?

You guys are ridiculous. Their NBA equivillant would be the Spurs. And they are just as American as any other team.

Lost 50 bucks on this, still in disbelief on why they didnt run with Lynch...

Giants back strong next year tho, OBJ's gonna be even more fun to watch

Don't think I've ever seen a Super Bowl thread this heated on GAF. Any team could've won and it had to be a bone headed play that cost us the championship, but C'est la Vie. I'm sure Beast Mode will always think what if, but it wasn't his call to make. Hope Brady doesn't retire, as I'm sure if they meet up again, the Seahawks will have his number. Now bring on the off-season

Still a questionable call, but god damn that is a lot of space there. Butler made a great read/play to snag that. Good for him.

If he did not, that was a walk in TD.

Great game, went full heel mode for the bowl and was rooting for the Pats. My friend was jumping for joy after the interception (Pats fan),

I have saved the words of our great scribe who brings down the word of Tebow to us all!

Like Moses and the tablets of stone! Bish restores our world!

Brady sneaks better than anybody in the league. The defense needed to time the snap perfectly or the game was over. They guessed the snap wrong.

Wilson choked on nuts until the last few min of the GB game. Seahawks got real lucky with that win. They should've won this game, but played sloppy when it counted the most.

Still, fuck the Pats, fuck the Bruins and fuck the Red Sox.

Lost in the shuffle, the WR at the bottom of the screen is already blocking. Should have been called a PI but no flag. Lucky it ended the way it did. The Pats were called for a PI earlier in the game in a very similar scenario.

I still can't believe the ending. What an amazing sequence.

Wilson is an amazing QB, but I question what happens when he gets older and loses his speed and mobility, which is what makes him an amazing QB.

Dude has only been in the league for 3 years, he has an amazing future ahead of him.
