I agree on the fact that hair technology isn't advanced enough to convey realistic longer hair, but I personally really like shorter haircuts so it's fine by me.
Localization files are simple .INT files that you can open with notepad. There's some spoilery stuff there, including major plot choices and diary entries.

That's certainly a valid way to play, she remarks quite a bit about how much she snoops. But I personally, was the biggest snoop around and was dang near unrepentant (pregnancy test I actually felt bad about). But I have a natural playthrough, a playthrough making the other decisions I was 50/50 on (snitching on Nathan), and another making decisions I didn't want to make (blaming Chloe for the pot). Should be interesting to see how they pan out.

It is going to be tough to avoid the leaks until all episodes are out. I am far too curious.
It is all good for me, as I find short hair much more appealing than long hair. It is actually making me want to go out and cut my hair shorter again even more. Long hair is so annoying to take care of.
That sucks about the full game spoilers. I've not played other episodic games, has anything similar happened with The Walking Dead, or were there no spoilers amongst the files with that one?
I thought one of the coolest parts about her time travel ability was right at the end when you realise by rewinding time and moving forward, youre basically teleporting. I just thought that as a concept was neat as hell.

Yeah spoilers suck, just got a very minor one browsing reddit, luckily nothing I wasn't expecting. But it was nice to see that they have similar thoughts about the game, generally positive but with the same negative points.
But in terms of the time travel, dontnod has said that its use is going to get more intricate in later episodes which has me hella (no shame) excited.

YEP. I just chopped mine off to shoulder length and I feel so freeee~ I think I'm going even shorter, though, like an a-line/inverted bob type thing.

Is there any reason why we can't take a picture of David harassing Kate, and then rewind and intervene? The game says that you still keep your inventory items while rewinding, so Max should be able to keep the picture even if the goes back to stop it.
Either the picture won't make sense since she split them up before the moment depicted on it, or it's just a mistake.

That actually makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. Taking a photo of something that didn't end up happening would be pretty hairy. It could be a mistake, but I like this more.
It's probably also very influenced by the gameplay - every area is a chapter, and every chapter has a 'big' choice at the end. Since that's the 'big' choice for "Outside the Dormitory (with flash drive)", you can't rewind and circumvent having to make the other choice to get the photo. But it works since, like you said, it's a photo of a moment that now never happened, unlike other items/evidence that are there regardless of time.
I feel like it's gonna get harder and harder to talk about the game as more episodes are released since (hopefully) we'll start to see a lot of consequences of the actions made in earlier episodes. Then it'll be like you can play through the whole episode multiple times and still get spoiled since you need to change what you did in the earlier chapters to see all of the game. I'm gonna be conflicted about going into spoiler threads after the second ep...
I just hope the consequences are super broad so you end up with a totally different outcome by playing a different way, especially for the other characters. Too many karma/choice systems are surface-level.

they better have Max/Warren ending. I can't say I really like Chloe much as of episode 1. her blaming Max for the weed if you didn't hide is a huge point against her. I stick up for her for my first playthrough but I replayed the game again and make sure to hide and not helping her this time and that's what I'm sticking with going forward.

Max has a boner for Mr. Jefferson and thinks Warren is "ew" tho. I find it kinda amusing that the game will probably provide the option to let him down gently at some point. I hope I can then rewind time to the exact point where his heart rips in two lol

We're not quite sure if it's worth it or not yet, we'll have to see in the next episode! There are hints towards her still being mean and hints towards her warming up to you.

I did actually like the fact that sometimes when you were caught snooping people were like what the fuck? It does give you a reason to use the reverse time power as you can look at something and then make it like you never touched the object, like I did with the files when they dropped into the oil. It's a better way of handling things when it comes to these ind of game as you can knda get better reactions from people but still not get blocked away from content because you made them angry.
As for theories as to what is happening? I think it might be played out pretty straightforward when it comes to the tornado, nothing supernatural about it and it's just a timer to add suspense to the plot, you know discover all the mysteries before the town is destroyed kinda thing. As for the rest? Not a clue but "fuck your selfie" had me laughing.
Edit: I forgot to ask, is it worth playing through again? Do the choices make a difference? I feel like some of them are more long term and probably played out in other episodes.

I'm glad I have this thread to shoot the shinin til the next ep drops. All of you who've never played The Longest Journey should definitely check it out. April Ryan is most definitely one of the best female characters in gaming, and is the "proto-Max" (She also happened to be an 18 year old art student in TLJ)

Did anyone comfort her after this? I decided to give it a try and I was pretty happy with the results in that she seemed to thaw towards Max only to send a text later saying they weren't friends.

David - misguided, but I feel the game intentionally tries to paint him as a bad person. It seem he's trying to uncover some sinister machinations on the campus and he might be on Max's side after all.
Teacher - had an affair with Rachel, secretly or not so secretly has a thing for Max. Probably not as nice of a guy as she thinks.
Janitor - creepy, will be suspect in connection with the disappearance of Rachel later on but ultimately turns out to be a red herring.
Vortex club - know more about Rachel than they let on.
