Would disagree, but unsure if that counts as breaking Shouta's rule. The whole character rank stuff in this stream dances dangerously towards that line.

I must've missed the memo too, since when is Yosuke popular? Cool to see Adachi > Yu though.
So Japan hates (iirc) Junpei but they love Yosuke? Hm...
They also love Lightning.
Japan have very different taste it seems. Always cool to see either way.

Adachi had some cool episodes in the Golden anime that fleshed out his character a bit. That probably helped.

Adachi being high is probably because his views are representative of the otaku audience's view on relationships. lol
Because one (Yosuke) is good and the other (Junpei) is bad.
But I am surprised Yosuke is #1. I expected him a bit lower.
Adachi's always been popular, so that's no surprise. Yosuke's definitely a big surprise, though.

Yeah I enjoyed those episodes very much. I wish the Golden animation had more of those kind of episodes.
Would have loved to seen more backstory episodes of characters like Yukiko and her Inn, Yosuke and his family running Junes, and Naoto adventures!

I can only assume Adachi is so high because of that P4G the animation episode....
That episode sure highlight some interesting aspect in Adachi life.
And Yosuke as number 1, i remember he is the main character in P4U manga. Maybe that's why?

Because Junpei acts a bit like a dick to the player while yosuke's always your bro.
Yosuke is your bro and it does his job quite well. So it makes sense.

Nah, again, Adachi's been popular since Persona 4 came out. His reveal in P4AU on November 24, 2013 got squeals from the crowd.
Gotta agree with you. Never understood the "Brosuke" hype.

Maybe the large female fanbase of Persona 3/4 in Japan has something to do with that.
Also, what is with the Rise backlash? I guess I never have kept up close with the fan community on this stuff, but was Rise always disliked?

From what I understand from people around me that dislike Rise it is because she is so clingy to the protagonist, being almost obsessed with him.

Can't be that Rie Kugimiya is pretty popular in Japan if I remember right. I mean some in the west might be bothered by her voice but it can't be the real reason Rise isn't as popular in this poll.

Wow thank you so much. I will certainly start posting there. I don't know anyone that likes Persona so it's been amazing just being able to talk about it witn fans. A community thread sounds like heaven.
