This series has made me cry more than any other form of media.

I don't know why. P3 and P4 just really, really resonated with me.

God, I hope P5 lives up to the standard. It's really hard to nail it three times in a row.

The song sounds great in both Japanese and English it just flows right no matter what it seems.

Well, they did re-release them for the PSP. And there was a reprint of Eternal Punishment around the time Persona 4 came out. Aside from that, it doesn't seem like it.
 
I'm happy with the whole list, the best song got number 1.
I'm just a bit disappointed I'll face myself reincarnation didn't get in at all :(

Yaaaay! Now Never More is one of my favorites. But I still remember back in 2010 when I first completed Persona 3 and this song played during the credits, it was in the middle of the night and my friend was with me in Skype:

Major P3 Spoilers:

Me: That was a great ending!
Friend: What do you think happened to the protagonist?
Me: He fell asleep... Right?
Friend: Naaah, he died!

I was empty for a week straight. Luckily The Answer came along and gave the P3 party as well as me some closure! :)

They're one of the few JRPGs to be set in a modern setting whose major themes are the topics most people have thought about as they grew up in their formative years.

There are Persona 1/2 alt colors in the Persona 4 Arena series, and Yukari Takeba in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is based on a group of sentai rangers that originated from Persona 2.
 
God, the OSTs from the Persona games are so amazing.

I literally can't wait for Persona 5. My hype is so high for the game I am kind of afraid I will end up disappointed. I doubt it though.

That was pretty much my reaction. ...until the song started playing. And then it hit me like a brick wall.
 
No I'll Face Myself? Can't argue with the P3 songs (since I haven't played the game xD), but c'mon that song is at least better than fucking Your Affection Reincarnation!

It could have been a top 100 and people still would have been disappointed at what didn't make it.

And not just in the music department. I hope fans go into the game with an open mind, there was just way too much time to build up hype and the characters from the previous games have become so iconic and dear that they cast a really huge shadow, we'll see...
