Persona 5 New Trailer

Happily surprised how stylish and polished this game look. Looking forward to the hype and eventual release date. This might be the first game I import since KH Final Mix.

hope they show some demons soon. They've been really milking those ps2 assets for a long while.

wonder if they will keep any of the ease of use improvements from p4g, that pretty much broke the balance of the game.
 
Elizabeth Christ almighty, is this the game of the forever?

Chandeliers? Taking cover? Dungeons look so much better. The worlds look so incredibly alive.

Just because it looks similar doesn't mean it's on the same engine. What makes games look similar are assets, not so much the game engine. :P

Took almost five years... I guess they were working on that sweet new engine during that time! :P

(I wonder if SCE helped Atlus and the Persona Team fund the new engine like with Capcom and Panta Rhei... could explain why it's Playstation exclusive)

Many will tell you P3 is the better game. I don't want to convince you otherwise, but if you try it and decide you don't like it, don't give up on the franchise, P4 is way more accessible and still deserves a chance.

I dunno, I thought most people here would say Persona 4. The love for the game is unreal.

I'd personally tell people to go with which ever theme/characters looks more interesting to them. That's the main difference imo.
 
Love the character designs and that UI is gorgeous. As a P3/P4 fanatic this trailer has me hyped to the next level. Really interested to see what a complete session of combat looks like from start to finish.
 
Ok never played a Persona game before, every time I watch a you tube clip it appears to be a 2 D anime fighting game with lots of cut scenes / story - is this correct or am I off base by allot ?

Can someone summarise what is the gameplay of these games ?

Yeah I guess so, I was thinking of something like Mass Effect series you still get to choose how you answer but you actually hear your character say it .

Anyway, Persona 3/4 silent MC does not bother me so much since you get to choose often how you answer people and situation.

Now to decide between PS3 or PS4 vers. (I'm hoping the PS4 vers. will look notably better, but this is Atlus unfortunately...Don't trust that.)

You're off base. What you saw was one of the Persona 4 Arena games, which were fighting game spin-offs. The main series is a turn based RPG.

Sounds like you watched Persona 4 Arena footage, which is a fighting game spinoff of Persona 3 and Persona 4.

The main games are turn-based RPGs with a high school sim/time management element.
 
Wow, what a perfect trailer!

It topped everything I could hope to expect from P5!

Every character looks fun and amazing too.

I want this right now so badly.

I hope I get a PS4 before P5 releases.

As much as I love thier handheld stuff, it's nice seeing a big, high budget console game from Atlus every now and then
 
There were so many good avatar shots in that trailer, but I gotta go with my man Igor.

Gonna rock this until we get a good in game look at his glorious nose.
 
Oh my god, this is an amazing thing to wake up to! That looked so fucking good.

Now I almost regret not getting a PS4 last month. I'll still play it on PS3 regardless, but hopefully it won't look too much worse. Aaaaaaaaaaah, so much hype!
