Persona 5 New Trailer

I don't think anyone's mentioned this, but I just realized something else after browsing Tumblr on my phone:

The shirts between The Phantom and his persona are actually really similar - they're not 1:1, but they seem like they could be made of a similar material, and the white dots on The Phantom's shirt correspond pretty well to the hole's for the persona's red cords. That, and it'd seem like it'd be easy to stuff a cravat into his get-up if you undid the collar.

That's making me wonder if the outfits are based on the personas themselves, and if so, if we might already have clues for what Ryuji's, Anzu's, and Morganna's might look like. The black marks on the mask look like they could be a stylized way of representing the persona's fiery eyes.

Just made it up to this post (apologies if this might have been mentioned or discussed).

Really?

And some claim bullshit when others mention there is a boys club mentality that alienates others genders. It's examples like this that can get annoying. Assuming everyone is ''boys'' and like girls.

It is meant as a lighthearted joke, I get that. But please be considerate of others next time.

I didn't reply in the last DoA thread when it got so disgustingly pervet, I left it for what it is because at least the games and devs are known for that kind of pandering. Persona games have more diverse fans.
That is like the one mention of waifu in this entire thread, no need to start shit.

Well, considering there are 3 Persona 4 spin-offs I'd think there was enough of a presence for them to not require any cameos in P5. Just buy P4D/PQ/P4U if you want to see what Yu is up to.

There's plenty of a "husbando" stuff in Japnese videogames as well. Maybe not as widely spread in the West, but it exists. There's plenty of characters for everyone to like for whatever reasons. Compared to past threads, this is tame as hell. Hardly anyone talking about this goofiness.

Ryuji? Anzu?

Where did we get the names? Are they in the trailer?

They seem to be taking a more cinematic route. I can see that becoming annoying and overdone, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I think you need to check your definition of what cinematic looks like, because you are way off base here lol

But it's saying waifu for the sake of saying waifu. "Waifu boys" makes no sense.

It's two counts of stupid.
Who cares if it was a good use or not, no one is going with it or having waifu wars circlejerks or anything of the sort, I didn't even remember that word was even used, we don't need to turn into tumblr over it.

Yes, I am Olivia his fiance. I already talked to two admins. I wanted to keep a low profile because my fiance needs to rest and take some time off. He didn't want me being bothered by others because of who I am. And I didn't want to give him any more stress. Maybe it was the wrong decision to not introduce it. But eh. I decided to just say it, since I was contacted by an admin over this. My fiance talked to an admin in the first place, butt I guess not every admin/mod knew. But it's already been taken care of.

What's done is done. We are both losing our minds over this though. So if anyone wants a P5 avatar, he's been looking over my should and saying he will make one from this trailer if anyone asks. I love him so much. :D

Your soon to be husband is one of the nicest members on this board, great to have you here too.

I'm just tired of the culture along with everyone else. It needs to be called it whenever it's called upon and I have no qualms with it.

I have no idea since I'm still reading. Made it to page 5.

Please read what I wrote. I'm not saying there isn't that kind of stuff that panders to other genders. I'm saying it's rude to talk that way assuming everyone feels the same way or is the same gender. You don't see me coming to threads and saying, what a hot husbando ladies! It especially hurts when you deal with that stuff multiple times a day on a regular basis.

Edit:

Just saw your edit. Yeah, I haven't read the whole thread. Working on it!

Yes the region locking on Persona arena which, didn't it happen because of Zen United and Index wanted to maintain maximum sales, which then led to Sega stepping in for Ultimax whie throwing Zen United out.

That's not what happened.
At all.

Atlus Japan wanted to prevent japanese from reverse importing the US version of Arena, which had japanese texts and was like 20% cheaper. And somehow forgot (once again) that PAL regions do exist afterwards. Zen had probably nothing to do with it at all.

On topic: that trailer was stylish as hell.
Let's see if this will get the SMT4 treatment or the PQ treatement for PAL regions...

I read what you wrote. It sounded like you getting very bothered over something that wasn't intending offense. I don't think the poster was assuming everyone was a male, he was addressing his joke at the relevant crowd of males. If you went "hot husbandos ladies!" I wouldn't take offense that you were assuming my gender, I'd assume your post was meant for another demographic.

Really, this is why it's better to keep the waifu jokes and posts to other threads and not in the main-page Gaming threads. Too many derails and people taking offense.

Has anyone mention that this game has to take place next year if the calendar is any indication? It's either next year of the year 2022 because 4/11 falls on a Monday in those years

OHHHHH MAMA

I really wished they announced a release window, but man that trailer shot my hype to an all time high. It looks so freaking great.

You know damn well there'll be a botched heist and the gang will have to hide out in a small rural town. And that town will be Inaba.

Nice, good catch on this.

The Persona is like a gentleman thief on fire.

A few things:

- I love how the city blocks falling down reminded me of Persona 3's opening, except it's grey on red instead of grey on blue.

- Why is the MC's HP and SP so awful compared to the teammates.

- Seems the weather will play a role again (as it's part of the UI)

- Persona 5 is organizing a heist before GTA Online is. Who would've thought.

no idea what i just watched havent played the persona games how do they play like final fantasy taking turns and attacking
