I'd appreciate this too, but considering the new look and likely new engine / highly modified engine a port is pretty hard. Though I would expect something like Golden a few years later that is not just a port of it but adds new stuff. Golden sold super well so there's definitely a reason to consider a Vita version.
 
So do you guys think we will get a cameo from someone in P4? Before this trailer hit I had a feeling an older Nanako would have a small cameo but obviously there no proof we'll even get something.
 
I always think its funny how in Persona games you can tell who the important characters are because they don't wear their uniforms properly.
 
I'm glad they using actual demons as enemies now. sandman and pyro jack looked cool.

Yeah as someone else said (this hype train is moving too damn fast for me to check who!) Just play on easy. I'm not a huge JRPG fan either; I tried normal for P4 and just couldn't be assed to finish it half way through. Played P3 on easy after that and it was one of my favorite games ever.

I think we'll get a reference to P4 in some way! Maybe we see something in those newspapers about someone with the same name, or maybe we actually see them. If I had to guess, I'd expect something closer to the former!

Naoto appearing as a detective would make sense give the "criminal/thief" theme we've got going on.

At the least they might throw up some Easter eggs like Marie or Rise appearing on TVs in the background.
 
Something like Vincents cameo in P3 would be nice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

No doubt. P4 did this well. Hell, the P5 cast may end up going on a field trip to the mountains and the class decides to have lunch at Junes. Imagine a Teddie skates up to them with steaks someone ordered and mentions how a good friend of his loves to eat them up.

I just hope it's no-one in P4G only though or I will be so upset.

That would actually be pretty cool, although it might be a bit much, considering (at least IIRC) you don't really _need_ to do Social Links in 3 or 4 (more sure on 4, it's been way longer since I've played 3), other than the ones that happen already as a part of the plot.

They could, however, up your chance of success, get additional rewards, etc...
 
They seem to be taking a more cinematic route. I can see that becoming annoying and overdone, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
 
I really don't want to see any important character from P4 appear. A random S.Link character like Kou or Naoki but no party members or one of the Dojimas. An important past character would demand too much attention, let P5 be its own thing.

Completely agree. But if I didn't have friends telling me to stick with it I would have probably ended up dropping it early on. The repetitiveness was tough to deal with personally, but the third act was phenomenal and ranks above P4 for me.

I mean, depending on your definition of completion, you can only get the true ending for P4 by maxing out social links. I can't remember if you need to do that to get a "real" ending for P3 though; pretty sure maxing social links just gets you a special persona in P3.

I wholly disagree. It doesn't need to be obnoxious, but a little more cohesion between the games would actually be welcome to me.

I just want them to remember that P1 and P2 exist ;_;

Yes, I am Olivia his fiance. I already talked to two admins. I wanted to keep a low profile because my fiance needs to rest and take some time off. He didn't want me being bothered by others because of who I am. And I didn't want to give him any more stress. Maybe it was the wrong decision to not introduce it. But eh. I decided to just say it, since I was contacted by an admin over this. My fiance talked to an admin in the first place, butt I guess not every admin/mod knew. But it's already been taken care of.

What's done is done. We are both losing our minds over this though. So if anyone wants a P5 avatar, he's been looking over my should and saying he will make one from this trailer if anyone asks. I love him so much. :D

And some claim bullshit when others mention there is a boys club mentality that alienates others genders. It's examples like this that can get annoying. Assuming everyone is ''boys'' and like girls.

It is meant as a lighthearted joke, I get that. But please be considerate of others next time.

I didn't reply in the last DoA thread when it got so disgustingly pervet, I left it for what it is because at least the games and devs are known for that kind of pandering. Persona games have more diverse fans.
 
If anyone from P4 is a cameo I could imagine it being Naoto given the whole thief thing for P5 mixed with her detective background.

I am really curious if those 4 in the trailer are the only people you get in your party.

Also, the lack of social links on the menu does confuse me. They're core to the Persona experience so why would they not be in the game? Hopefully they're somewhere else.
