Persona 5 New Trailer

Something is bothering me:

1. Where is the text bubble for the conversations?

Is this just because its a trailer or is there really no way to keep up with whats going on without having to hear every word out of their mouths?

2. Stealth? WTF

3. Only 4 characters?

More please! And this archaic system that only lets 4 characters fight at one time needs to disappear from RPG's

Oh, the other thing I was going to mention on the note of Lupin, which others may have already observed:

Since Hashino directly references Lupin, and the story being picaresque, it's easy to draw an almost Robin Hood style allegory from that. Emancipation from a bleak life brought on by stealing from the oppressive, rich, and evil society holding them down.

Besides, the UI becomes muscle memory in RPGs. I can probably navigate all those menus in less than a second to get to where I want. They're still snappy.

there is a character in red opening part that we haven't seen. That one with the Tanooki tail.

They don't want to spoil everything in one trailer! Atlus has learned that we will keep our hype levels up when they dangle the carrot in front of us every few months.

Only the bright light/glare from those poles is what's shining down on him and his bag. If you go frame-by-frame, people and other objects aren't visible through him or his bag.

It's just a lighting thing. Those poles are so bright, the light is shining down over him. And because those lights are vertical, the glares are vertical and makes it appear you can see the poles through him. He's not transparent.

I think the dungeons may have been improved upon. Instead of running up and down corridors and trying to circle around a Shadow for a first strike, you can interact with the environment to do that.

And I'm sure there's more than 4 party members, Atlus doesn't want to reveal everything all at once.
 
this thread is so huge and keeps growing at such a pace. Has anyone or any site done a writeup of all the details we know for sure and theories/details? I keep seeing people talk about sins and heists.

"Stealth" was kind of present in P3/P4. Of course, it wasn't described as such but I have very clear memories of trying to stay out of a shadow's line of sight / aggro ring to get to another floor. It was basic stealth and it seems they've adapted this into a more quicktime-y version.
 
It's rare to see a game/trailer live up to the hype and even surpass it. Glad to see it happen and wish it would happen more often.

This trailer shat all over my hype from the highest plateau, in the best possible way. I wasn't expecting all that much (though thought it would be great!), yet we get a good look at the characters, the dialogue (the faces appearing on screen during conversation), the menu(s), combat (and All-Out Attack! O_O) backed by an amazing Meguro tune. This trailer delivered on every level and then some!
 
The "trasparent" looking parts of the bag/shoulder strap may be reflective safety tape. A lot of shoulder bags and stuff worn by bicyclists/motorcyclists have it on there for visibility.That's what it looks like to me, It looks like it's reflecting some environmental lighting.
 
Wow.

That looks orders of magnitude better than I was expecting. I didn't think we'd see a huge improvement over Persona 4, honestly.

Yeah it completely shattered my expectations for what this game would be. I absolutely can't wait to see what Atlus has in store.

HYYYPPPPEEEEE!! It looks so god damn goooooddddddd! Oh man, the soundtrack, visuals, menus, art style, characters, gameplay it is all just oozing with such style.

I don't know if it is just me but I feel as if it has this 60's vibe to it. As if inspiration was drawn from that period. Really like the nods to P4 and Catherine as well. Looks as if they have even took gameplay elements from Catherine and put them into the game which is awesome.

I seriously cannot wait!
