You know, with the mask concept that the game seems to have...

Been a while since Philemon had a big role in persona hasn't it? Seems like Persona 3 and forward it just been hints with butterflies regarding him.

Envy because of her green eyes. MC is probably Wrath and not Pride.

It's actually a little funny for fans of the Seven Deadly Sins manga by Suzuki Nakaba. The leader in that manga is the Sin of Wrath but the first person he rejoins is the Sin of Envy followed by the Sin of Greed. Got that same trio here, lol.

Yeah, it's not canon to the franchise but it has things in it that you'll see in Persona 4 as Trinity Soul was before that game. I think it's a pretty decent show if you're not too nitpicky about stuff. It definitely has a great cast of characters too.
There was a post two pages ago saying Pride was from where all other sins originated from so I took it at face value. Envy would make sense, given green monster = Jelaousy. Nice catch. What about Lust in the manga?

Here's a somewhat better snap of the twins (sorry if already posted; college restricts certain sites):

This seems like a tricky subject to research but since there appear to be two selections left after the 7 deadly since I think their going to go for the two unforgivable sins that are usually lumped together; Withholding forgiveness (this has 100% Persona theme written all over it) and Blasphemy against God.

The blasphemy is kind of hard to envision how it would be represented in Persona terms but if that's the direction they go I'm sure it will be amazing.

Anne also wears a green clover on her casual clothes.

Which turns red when her eyes turn green.

As for MC being wrath, the Cat also has red eyes, and seeing as the cat is listed with all the other deadly sins, it's not confirmed that s/he's lust(I'm also not sure it would make sense for a cat to represent lust).

They look like they'd be too condescending for that.

Might I inquire how it was deduced that the central theme pertains to the seven deadly sins?

I have only played 3/4ths of P3FES so far and there the central theme are the Arcanas. Can anyone let me know whether that's also the case for P4 provided it doesn't Spoil the game in a major way?

Thank you.

Could be something to do with going against the natural order/law. They are meant to be criminals.

Trailer was absolutely outstanding. I was already interested but the trailer pushes all the right buttons, very excited now. Enamored with the visuals, especially all the details in the animation. Love the return of demon enemies, and am also very curious about the potential implications thereof, especially when considering the velvet room as a prison. On the fence as to whether mc is morphing into his persona at the end or if we're seeing something else happen, could mean a lot of different things or just be a stylistic choice.

Seriously considering going media dark on this one till release. Seeing details/trailers between now and release isn't going to make the wait any easier and at this point may actually dillute the impact of the final product.

Words pertaining to them were in the trailer. However there were also more than just 7 in that trailer.

Someone posted pics earlier in this thread.

Feels like it's taking aspects from all of the previous games.

Persona 1 - The masks & the weapon/gun split.
Persona 2 - Sin & Punishment theme. Also, the whole delinquents theme.
Persona 3 - Big city & school.
Persona 4 - Whimsy mixed with dark themes.

There'll be zero chance the Japanese release will have an English subtitle option, yeah?

I have no problem with Japanese but my gf knows nothing and I really would like her to be able to play since I know she doesn't mind Japanese language w/ English subs in games. I've normally had to wait for the Asian/HK release of games to get both in the package-- or wait for the NA release... but if the gap between the initial release and its NA debut is pretty far, I dunno if I can wait :\

MC's eyes are Red which is usually associated with Wrath and his gloves are red in the scene when he gets on the train roof. Might indicate a transgression by letting his rage get the best of him and that he has blood on his hands.

In Suzuki's manga, Lust is 5th Sin to be reunited with the team. Sloth came 4th.

Anne also wears a green clover on her casual clothes.

Yeah, there's that too.

Pride seems more likely considering he is the protagonist. All sins come from Pride.

I don't think that's likely. Pride is usually associated with the color violet where wrath is associated with red.

Just was able to see the trailer, and just wanted to chime in like everyone else and say holy fuck P5 looks cool. Bummed that they didn't share a release date, but they tend to disclose a lot of info about Persona in Famitsu articles that drop out of the blue (along with insanely-long trailers), and it seems like the years-long silence on the game is over...I just want to fucking know more/play it right now, and I haven't felt that way about a video game in a long time. Very excited.
