I have only played Persona 4 Golden, i loved it! my question is, was that game a fluke or are all the Persona games awesome? Also do you guys think this will eventually come to vita? i think part of the reason i loved P4 so much was that i could play it wherever i wanted.

Which turns red when her eyes turn green.

As for MC being wrath, the Cat also has red eyes, and seeing as the cat is listed with all the other deadly sins, it's not confirmed that s/he's lust(I'm also not sure it would make sense for a cat to represent lust).

They look like they'd be too condescending for that.
Alright Final list for now:
MC: Wrath
Ryuji: Greed
Anne/Anzu: Envy
Morgana: Empty Vessel for the other sins or Perhaps Death.

Lust, Gluttony, Pride, Sloth.

Can someone post an image of the part I was talking about? On my mobile right now.
At 1:34 Using GS video on youtube.
Reposting my request.

MC's eyes are Red which is usually associated with Wrath and his gloves are red in the scene when he gets on the train roof. Might indicate a transgression by letting his rage get the best of him and that he has blood on his hands.

In Suzuki's manga, Lust is 5th Sin to be reunited with the team. Sloth came 4th.

Yeah, there's that too.

I don't think that's likely. Pride is usually associated with the color violet where wrath is associated with red.
Blood on his face at the end. The twins have violet eyes.

Left is taller, similiar face, longer nose. I get the impression that ones a he despite the braids.

Definitely looks like twin girls.

They look identical to me aside from their hair styles (and the lighting). In this GIF the girl with the hair buns is mirrored so her eye-patch would really be on the other side (and her uniform wouldn't be different).

3 is pretty similar to 4, but 1 and 2 are 90s-ass rpgs.

Was that Vincent from Catherine in prison clothes at 1:58 into the trailer?

Anyway, the game does seem to have cool presentation, though as a person who has never played Persona, I really want to see some gameplay before making any calls.

You know, people keep comparing the P5 menus to P4, but looking back at Catherine's UI I'm seeing a much more natural progression and influence from it. Catherine used that same mix of bold graphics with 3D elements in its menus. It seems like Catherine was a bit of a playground for the Persona team to test out ideas.

They did say that Catherine was made so they could get use to working with the PS3.

BROTHER! All Persona games are awesome. [subjectivity intensifies] (If you liked P4G, then you will probably be able to get into Persona 3... I think. I was, anyway!) I don't know about a Vita port, but hey, crazier things have (probably) happened!

3 is amazing as well. 3 on the PSP however is more of a visual novel with dungeons though, no walking around in the city.

Persona 2 is actually 2 games, Eternal Punishment and Innocent Sin. They are pretty much a bog-standard late 90's JRPG, nothing offensive other than annoying combat frequency, but nothing special gameplay wise either. The PSP game has a very, very good story though, that I'm told is paid off by the second part, which the english speaking world never got a translation of. So if you want the whole story, you need to play the PS1 version which apparently has a terribad translation.

Persona 1 is just awful. Stay away. Decent story and good music (obviously), but otherwise a train wreck.

That's the MC in the Velvet Room.

I believe the first is free, but the 7th is taken. If someone took the first one, he hasn't posted here.

Snagged the first one then. Loving the character design (I was told I kinda look like the protag, after seeing this trailer I sure want to be like him!)

Yeah, it's not canon to the franchise but it has things in it that you'll see in Persona 4 as Trinity Soul was before that game. I think it's a pretty decent show if you're not too nitpicky about stuff. It definitely has a great cast of characters too.

Will probably give it a watch, i know most of the persona 3 plot, although its the only persona game I haven't played yet.

How the hell do people make these fan arts so fast!?

Seriously do they just get one glimpse of the trailer and right away just draw that shit? XD

They have their drawing software up when they know a trailer is coming.

I wish I was kidding lol.

If you freeze it just as it zooms out you can clearly make out 5 more of the sins written in Latin as well so I think this is definite. I can't see what the three on the top level are though. That would make two sins too many :/

Google says the 7 deadly sins were changed at some point. If you combine the original 7 and the current 7, you get 9. The original 7 had despair and vainglory, sometimes called the unforgivable sins.

Despair was sorrow to the point of not believing in anything being able to help you (including God) and bordered on nihilism, so that works for irritum.

Vainglory/presumption is less straight forward. It was similar to pride, but was more about believing yourself to br better than others. One extreme of this would be someone believing themselves to be better or more knowledgeable than God.

If you replace "God" with "the world" or "society", it fits the theme of going against society.

No, Persona 1 PS1 is the one with a really bad localization (which Americanized a lot of things and removed the alternate storyline completely). The PS1 version of Persona 2: Eternal Punishment has a decent localization (although later Atlus games are better).

Thanks guys :) really appreciate it. I guess I'll try to get a copy of Persona 3 and I'll most likely be getting Persona 5 near launch provided it launches in the UK. Is it confirmed for UK? if not i suppose i could always import a US copy like i did with P4G.

Okay, so firstly this trailer is absolutely amazing. I've been fangasming out all day over it.

This has probably been mentioned (I've read a lot of the pages here, but not all), but with the sins being raised it'd be interesting if the main characters have some of the main 'Sin' demons as their prime personae. Which would be Lucifer (Pride), Satan (wrath), Asmodeusu (Lust), Belphagor (Sloth), Leviathan (Envy), Mammon (Greed), and Beelzebub (Gluttony). Though if that's the case I dunno where Cavum and Erratum would fit in or who they'd be represented by.

Honestly, after P3's Greek theme and P4's Japanese theme, I'm just interested to find out what mythology theme the game is working with. I guess we'll find out if the MC's persona is revealed next week or fairly nearby.

It'll probably come to the EU eventually, like at least 6 months+ after the US, so I'm planning to just import it (UK here too).

always interested in persona. liked the art style and the crazyness.
never dared to play it because i do not have too much time and i am sure these games will eat me alife.
now, this trailer makes it even harder to resist.
pure eye candy.
