This is a good question, actually. From a turn-based RPG purist standpoint and a continuation of how gameplay has worked in previous games I would not want one. Period. I guess you could perhaps have some sort of goofy leaderboards for clear times of the dungeons, though. I love silly little stuff like that. Maybe maaaaaaaybe you could do a sort of co-op (local or web) of a party of 2-4 running a raid/dungeon with everyone as one member sort of like how Tales does it though that game is much more strategy RPG with open-area battles. Could even do procedural dungeons, extra difficulty dungeons, etc.
You forget that Teddie was the total slut/manwhore of P4 way before he ever hopped out of the costume!

Well, they could just do it like P4G with those aid requests and maybe Vox Populi. Sure, it would be a small online component, but online nonetheless and not significant enough to affect offline play.

Of course. You'd be sent back to your story or postgame after. At least I PRAY there's a postgame this time with optional and DLC content. Your stats, game progress for story and slinks would get locked until a NG+ but you could continue to level and evolve personae.
Perhaps Sony can work some voodoo with it's playshare and/or remote play via Vita not requiring an install on top of the main player being on a PS4. With all the coming online modes for Bloodborne I'd like to see some applied to a co-op party for Persona, lol. (To be fair, I'd love them applied to basically every future RPG, period)

Have you seen the trailer? It says 4/11 in the entire trailer. Every Persona game starts with 4/11. And it seems that the protagonist lives there awhile already as he knows the 3 others already.

This is pure speculation, but that first trailer ends with the MC seeing some weird glowing light at a crowded intersection, which is then reflected in his eyes. In the new trailer you can see something looking like his or some other Persona bursting out of a black hole right above an intersection. So maybe that first trailer is right before he gets his Persona? And getting those new powers makes him go all nuts?

Wow, this trailer is fantastic and so many posts already ! I cannot believe it is even far beyond my expectations, like the perfect first real trailer.
Do we already know if the footage is ps3 or not ? From a pure technical standpoint, it seems really achievable for a ps3 (and is totaly gorgeous thanks to the crazy art direction).

I wonder if the MC will use a transformation mechanic similar to Shadow Hearts Covenant, having multiple forms... If that's the case

I really hope they do that since losing the customization options you get by having the wild card and fusions etc. would suck shit. Even Digital Devil Saga 1 in which you could only transform into one demon but had other methods of obtaining new skills was not as cool as Persona fusions.

I'm thinking it's just this game's stylized way of showing the summoning process. I feel like that had the scene continued, the flames would've formed his persona and it would've "stepped out" of the MC, or woud've ended up floating above him.

If the main character's persona is Joker, I'm assuming the other characters will have ones like Ace, King, or Queen. They aren't mythological figures like your usual persona, but everyday normal playing cards can be used for divination just as tarot can. The Joker card draws influence from The Fool card (which was originally a jester), so it's arcana makes sense.

Until a game goes gold, there's always a chance for any game to be pushed back.
But personally, fuck scepticism. Atlus has said 2015, I'll believe them instead of #fear&uncertainty.

P4D is late June release in Japan so they need to give it some time to maximize sales which is why I think P5 might be very late 2015 release in Japan.
So it might slip to spring 2016 in west.

Still so glad they're making this cross gen, it'll look incredible on PS4.
