Nintendo seems to be shafting Amazon on amiibo shipments after Amazon dicked them around with carrying the 3DS for a long time. Better not to buy anything nintendo from amazon if you really want it or its limited.

I'm so frustrated by amiibos. They may as well just post all their ness stock (all 68 they make) on ebay and auction them off.

I wish! I've been using Diggeh for over 10 years now. You can Google "Diggeh" for all my pixel art and stuff!
For a name I made up off the top of my head, it ended up being used more than I expected. There's Ireland Diggeh who took Diggeh on Steam and Twitch (I settled for DiggehPls), Soundcloud Diggeh, and Minecraft Diggeh. I'm friends with Ireland Diggeh--it's pretty surreal seeing a Diggeh(2) on my Steam friends list.

I've dubbed us "The Diggehvengers".

So there may be some truth to the labor strike, and may very well be the culprit for some of these delays.

They've been intentionally working slow since before November. Stores still got stuff but at a trickle.

I dont think it plays a huge role in lack of supply, as plenty of other companies still get their stuff out in retail on time.

Maybe the dock workers could be just blocking amiibos though.
 
So my Shulk order says closed on gamestops site and I know some say that means he's being shipped to the store, but I talked to someone at the store today and they said they aren't expecting any Shulks on the way. He did say his manager was very strict about amiibo and not to worry. If I preordered and they get it in I'll receive it.

Anyone else that did site to store try calling their store for an update?

Also just got my amazon Sonic! Will add to my display and post an updated picture later.
 
My French Rosalina just arrived! Makes me feel more comfortable about importing if I need to do it again in future waves.

TRU basically sold over 2,000 Lucario on their eBay site alone (which explains the embarrassing store stock), so I wouldn't be surprised. :P
 
It seems my Shulk order from Gamestop is shipping. A heads up to anyone who ordered Shulk. It seems they will be sending him out this this week to people who placed online orders.

The fact that only Amazon UK are the only ones taking preorders of wave 4 is what worries for NA. I'm willing to spend extra money to import them from Amazon UK because Pac-Man and Ness are my mains on Smash and my favorite characters as well.

We're nearly two months and half before wave 4 official release date, and based on what I understand from serial numbers on figures, they will not begin producing them before a couple of weeks. There's also something like a dozen unreleased figures in most places...

At this time, I'm not sure retailers can even place orders, and I wouldn't be surprised that Nintendo hasn't even decided which quantities they will produce for each, let alone began allocating them. I'd say most retailers are simply waiting to know how many Amiibos they'll be able to order before opening preorders. Cancellations are bad press.

That being said, I'll be cut from the internet for a week starting circa next friday, I fear they choose this period to open preorders.

Hope this is a good indicator that Nintendo is working really hard to truly fix the supply issues and apply them with wave 4. Maybe that's why they are taking too long to appear. I predict preorders on NA will appear around March then :c Me wants Pac-Man and Ness so bad.
 
Is anyone looking for a Rosalina? I got a Japan import I ordered a while ago as a backup in case I won't find a US version, but now I don't have a need for it. $25 shipped in the US.

I was thinking of doing the two for $20 today at TRU and figured I'd register online incase I go. But now its telling me to print a temporary card. I don't have a printer so can I just write down my member # and then goto TRU or am I fucked?

Sorry to be a bit off topic but best place to ask I figured. Don't wanna to just to not be able to do the deal. If I'm fucked then oh well I guess. Better to try and get Mega Man then go for commons I don't own.
 
Does anyone know if Konsolenkost.de charge immediately on their preorders if you do Pay with Amazon or do they charge when its about to ship?

Expect the worst and hope for the best. I'd say that many shops simply don't want to take the chances to sell, say, 2000 pre-orders without an official word from Nintendo they'll get those 2000. They've enough angry customers already.

Nintendo may aim for an even lower production run...

It's really no trouble to sign up in the store, though.
 
Someone should update the Xs in the OP. Fox should be Xed out, most of wave 3, and I think at this point we should just go ahead and preemptively mark out wave 4 in it's entirety. :P
I'm joking, but I won't be surprised if that ends up happening, sadly.

Also I just got another free trial of amazon prime, this is the third one it usually happens every year and a half. (never been a full member) so if anythng rare-ish goes up I can order it with free shipping! But I'll try and hold onto it for when I have lots of money and can preorder a lot of stuff.

Unless you REALLY value the US packaging, that's pretty stupid, actually.

All the wave 1 characters are still quite easy to find in Europe at or near MSRP. Bucher.de, for example, have apparently all three in stock for 44.97€ (~$51). I have never used them, and I don't know whether they ship worldwide, but if they don't, there's several alternatives.

Same for Pit, Falcon, Fox, Sheik, Lucario...

Little Mac and Rosalina are the only ones that probably can't be found near MSRP in Germany and most probably across all Europe...

Well I got my brother to pay off my shulk and DDD, told him don't mention that they're online pick up in store cause Idk if anyone remembers me but yesterday I went and I told the lady working they were pick up in store and she refused to let me pay saying that she can't do that, it has to be paid when I go to pick up my amiibos.

gamestop is so dumb. It took like three people and multiple registers to figure out how to let me fully pay for my online preorder in store.

it's almost like they didnt want to do it since I guess they don't get credit for my preorder and can cancel it to sell to someone that orders in store. Gamestop is dumb.

They just showed up at Hastings yesterday. We got 4 at our store and 3 at a different one. I think there was one left at one store. But that was this morning. Don't know if it's still there.
 
Took advantage of that Two For Twenty sale at TRU..ended up just getting two Shieks. I needed one, and the other will go to my friend, or i'll swap it for one at TRU whenever i see something I need.

Almost all done with my display too. Walmart has these styrofoam board things over by the craft supplies + Black paint allowed me to make a neat little custom stair shelf thing. I can easily make another for the other half, plus if most sets have 5-10 amiibo per line, that's simple to make more too. I just wanna get some 2" circular stickers, throw em onto a template on the computer and print out the smash logos for each.

You can pay via amazon checkout. It's my first backup pre-order for Lucina anyways. Saturn and Gamestop will be the other two.

I've gotten too many cancellations from these smaller sites to even bother.
A lot of times, they just put up the item before even being able to gauge supply.
